Happy Halloween

It's "Carve a Pumpkin Day" which seems appropriate as it's Halloween - LOL!

I stamped the three little squidgy images from Squidgy Pumpkin Trio with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured them with copics.  I foolishly didn't order the coordinating die so had to fussy cut them out.  I added the BOO from Tiny Townie Willow the Witch.

Bellariffic Friday - Kitty Loves Halloween

It's Bellariffic Friday and amidst all the excitement with the teasers going on I'm here with my card and a reminder that's it's the first Friday of the month so that means 20% off the image of the month and this month we feature Uptown Girl Kitty Loves Halloween.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured it with copics.  I added lots of sparkle with the glitter paper and wink of stella pen.  I stamped the sentiment that comes with the image on the inside and mimicked the scallop square from the front.

Fall Release Teaser - Day 5

It's DAY 5 of the Fall release and I have two more new images to share with you.  Today we are showing one of my fav new lines, the Squidgies.  Let me introduce Squidgy Witchy Trick or Treater!  I stamped both card images with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured them with copics.

For the Witchy card, I made the background with some reinkers and then splattered some black ink over top.  I added the little witch on top of a fishtail flag that I stamped with one of the new sentiments from the Fall Sentiments set.  It's a great set with lots of Fall and Halloween sentiments.  I added a few clear enamel dots and a spritz of shimmer to the background too.

My second card features Squidgy Dino Trick or Treater.  So adorable!  The "BOO" that is stamped on the middle panel is from Tiny Townie Willow the Witch.

Fall Release Teaser - Day 4

It's DAY 4 of the new Fall release and today I have two more Halloween cards to share with you, all from the Littles collection.  All the images will have coordinating dies.  I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured them with copics. 

Introducing the super cute and not scary at all......Littles Mummy and the Tombstone.

The background for this was done with some new Distress Oxide inks and a stencil.  

My next card features Littles Mummy, Frankie and Ghosty, but on my card Ghosty has disappeared - LOL - and just Frankie and Mummy are shown!

The 'boo' is made from an alphabet die that I cut three times and stacked and then I added some enamel dots around the images.  I just LOVE Frankie!!  These "Littles" are so cute and so fast to colour up!!

Fall Release Teaser - Day 3!

It's DAY 3 of the Fall release from Stampingbella and today my card features a new image from the Littles collection....introducing  "Little Witches"....and her sweet little cat.  All the new images will have coordinating dies to cut them out.

I made a shaker card filled with lots of sparkly Halloween coloured sequins.  Here's a photo of it lying flat.  I added some Diamond Dust along with the sequins which is hard to see in the photo but so cool in real life :)

Happy Halloween

Today's card uses one of those sweet PI girls that I adore - Pumpkin Patch Girl.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured it with copics.  I added some of Bella's Grounds and Grasses around her.  The paper is Lilybeedesign Autumn Spice and I paper pieced her little sweater.  I added some twine with a small button at the top.  The clouds were sponged on.  I hope everyone has a fun Halloween.

Bellariffic Friday - Inspiration Challenge 7

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we had another great photo to use as our inspiration.

I took the rich fall colours and inked up Tiny Townie Patricia Loves Pumpkins.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured it with copics.  The paper is Elegant Eggplant with some scraps that I stamped dots and stripes on.  I also took inspiration from two of my fellow babes, Michele and Faye.  They always have such great layouts so I copied Faye's doodling, and Michele's assorted fishtail flags.  This team is full of talent!  I added some Wink of Stella to her dress and tights and a few sequins.

On the inside I used the fun sentiment that comes with the image.

Bellariffic Friday - Inspiration Challenge 6

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we had a beautiful photo as our Inspiration Challenge.

The pumpkins were the first thing I saw and pumpkins make me think of Halloween so I decided to make another Halloween card.

I stamped Tiny Townie Willow the Witch with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured it with copics.  The paper is appropriately called "Happy Halloween" by Echo Park.  I used the cut it out die that comes with the bundle to pop up Willow.onto a stitched circle die.  A bit of rick rack ribbon, some sequins and lots of Wink of Stella on her hat and skirt and this little witch is ready for Halloween.  

I'm following Elaineabella's outstanding videos and they are really helping me with my shading - at least I think so - LOL!  Here's a close up.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment that comes with the image.

Bellariffic Friday - Mojobella Sketch 19

Apologies, I'm late with my Bellariffic Friday card.  This week we had another great sketch.

I was itching to use one of the many (eek) new images that arrived last week from the latest release.  I inked up The Wizard, the Witch and the Cauldron Chicks with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured them with copics.  There are three chicks with matching dies that come with this set but I just used two of them.

The paper is Echo Park "The Apothecary Emporium" along with some purple and green scraps.  The image is mounted onto a scallop square die and I added a couple of fishtail flags with a button on top.  As always, there is some Wink of Stella on the image.

Batty for Starbucks!

I have been thinking about a Halloween card to make for my favourite Starbucks and today's SSSC242 was the perfect layout!

I stamped PI Batty For You onto Bella's Bestest paper with Black Licorice Hybrid ink and coloured her with copics.  I used my black wink of stella pen for a little sparkle on her bat wings and crystal effects on her shoes.  Of course, there HAD to be the Starbucks cup in there somewhere so I drew a little cup, coloured it and popped it up in her hand!

On the inside I used a bit more of the Halloween paper from the front, added the sentiment and then found the most perfect bat brad to add in the corner!

I can't wait to give it to them tomorrow...they have been asking for weeks when their next card is coming!

Too cute to spook!

I had time to play along with this weeks SSSC241 on Monday while I was waiting for a repair man to make an appearance...and yes you did read a bit of 'sarcasm' there!  Anyhow, while I was waiting I made this card.  I did rotate the sketch once to make it work better for me :)

I stamped PI Batty For You onto Bella's Bestest paper with Black Licorice Hybrid ink and coloured her with copics.  I love these little Pure Innocence images - they are just so cute!  I added a bit of Wink of Stella to her bat wings and of course crystal effects on her shoes.

 

 

On the inside I added a strip of the pattern paper and left room to write.

Bellariffic Friday - Halloween

Boo!  This week's Bellariffic Friday theme was Halloween - in your image, your colours or your papers.  I love Halloween so decided to use all three!

I stamped Little Witchy in Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics, adding extra sparkle with some Atyou Spica pens.

The pattern paper is retired SU Halloween DSP and some Old Olive.  I used the Spiderweb embossing folder and the DSP was so thin it cracked the paper a bit but I like the bits of white showing through!  I used oval nesties to cut her out and mounted her on some black cardstock to make her pop a bit.  I thought the sentiment was perfect and I added a black button tied with some bakers twine.

She's a good witch which :) means there's lots of magic glitter around her!

Moaning Moira - September SFYTT

It's my third week as Jen's September Guest Designer for her Sketch For You To Try and I'm having so much fun with the Kraftin' Kimmies images - the sponsor this month.  For today's card I used Moaning Moira - don't you just love her name?!

I stamped Moira in Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics. 

I knew I wanted her face either green or a ghostly gray and I settled on green.  The pattern paper is Basic Gray Eerie and I used some purple and orange to mat it - two of my "go to" colours for Halloween.  Her dress has a bit of sparkle from my Atyou Spica pens and I added some MS glitter to her wings.  I had a lot of fun with the embellishments - a bat brad (sheesh, try and say that fast!), MS spider web border and that oh so sparkly black ribbon.  I love that the sentiment comes with the image and I cut it out using the Oval Stax 1 & 2.

On the inside I used the Fishtail Flags Stax and just stamped the top portion of Moira, leaving room for my spooky greeting.

Meet the Punkins - September SFYTT

It's Saturday and for me, (this month only), that means another card as Jen's Guest Designer for her September Sketch For You To Try!

Halloween is my second favourite time of year.  I absolutely LOVE everything about it - the costumes, the decorations, the colours, the treats (mmm) and of course the pumpkins - all sizes, shapes and colours. Let me introduce The Punkin Family from Kraftin' Kimmie, our sponsor this month!

I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo black ink, coloured the pumpkins with copics and then added some extra shading with OMS and pencil crayons.  I used a green and orange Atyou Spica pens for a touch of glitter on the pumpkins.

I rotated the sketch this time and for a little texture used the swiss dots embossing folder on the largest polka dot paper.  The image seemed a bit stark so I added some clouds I made with the MFT Wonky Scallop Border die-namic.  I cut out a border and placed it randomly, sponging the edge and voila...clouds!  I added some grass but got a little carried away I think!

The paper is perfectly named Happy Halloween from Echo Park and the ribbon and the papers came from TE Fright Night Project Pantry.  I added three dots in the corner and popped up the littlest Punkin for a little dimension.

Of course I had to do the inside and the Open ZigZag die-namic seemed to imitate the pumpkin carvings.

Pumpkin contest at work

We had a pumpkin contest at work last week and I was asked to make the winning medals. 

I used the Die-namics First Place Award Ribbon set from MFT.  I LOVE this set - it's so fast and easy to make up these little medals - they loved them at work and I can see me making more for future contests :)

The paper is more of the Cosmo Cricket Matilda and the ink is SU Pumpkin Pie.  I added a piece of sticky strip on the back so it could be adhered to the winning pumpkin.  Christal and I created a breast reconstruction pumpkin! 

We called it Pretty in Pink.  It didn't place 1st, 2nd or 3rd....but it did come in a very close 4th.  Did you know that the breast reconstruction ribbon has a double loop - like a figure 8?

Happy Halloween

I love Halloween and nobody knows that better than Karen and Dana.  I wanted to make them a special card to say Happy Halloween and also a BIG thank you for all they do for me.  One of the best things they do is add my name to my card photos - for some reason I cannot do that!  Now, as you can imagine I couldn't send them this one for editing so attempted it myself.  Apart from my missing name I think I did okay :)
 
This cute little image is from the set called Pumpkins on the Vine from There She Goes.  

I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with copics.  The sentiment is from Stamping Bella.  I added some glitter with my Stardust glitter pen to her sweet hat and several coats of clear glaze pen to the little pumpkin she's holding.  The layout is MFTWSC43 - I loved this layout!  The pattern paper is Cosmo Cricket Matilda and SU Basic Black, Old Olive and More Mustard.  The spiderweb border punch is from Martha Stewart.  I sewed the edges and you will notice they are relatively straight.....this was before my stamping night went downhill but that's a blog post and photo (!) for another day.

Halloween treats

This is a very quick post with some super sweet little treat favours I made.  I took a bunch for my co-workers this week and last night took some for every one's place setting when we went out for dinner with friends. 

I can't take credit for either of these brilliant ideas though!  The hat is from this blog post and the little EEK package is two Hershey chocolate nuggets (mmmm).  The tutorial is here.  Angie has the best little gift ideas and does great tutorials!  The hat was made with retired SU Halloween paper rolled into a cone shape and a circle for the base punched out of Basic Black cardstock.  The nugget holder was exactly the same papers.  I stamped some address labels with a stamp from It's a Wrap Holidays set (SU Holiday Mini) in Cajan Craze ink to match the paper and wrapped them around the nuggets.  I punched two scallop circles and just wrapped them around the two nuggets and tied it up with a bit of ribbon. 

I love making little treats as table (or desk) favours and these were super easy!

Bellariffic Friday - Stripes

Finally Friday and not a moment too soon!  This week's theme for Bellariffic Friday was "stripes" and seeing as it's Halloween in a few days I squeaked in one last Halloween card.  I think my most favourite technique is brayering and after choosing the owls as my image, I knew exactly how I'd make this card.  Am I allowed to say, I just LOVE how this turned out?! :)

I started with a piece of SU glossy paper and brayered some SU Delightful Daffodil across it.  Then I made a mask of the moon with my circle punch.  I brayered another layer of Delightful Daffodil then a couple more layers of SU More Mustard.  That's when the "happy mistake" happened!  Apparently my mask had moved and I was left with a slight moon shadow.  I couldn't have planned that better :)  I sponged some SU Pumpkin Pie around the top edge and the moon.  Then I stamped Branching Out Owlies in black StazOn and coloured in the branch with a black sharpie.  The striped paper is from my Apothecary Emporium pad by Echo Park.  I used a scallop border die and added some black rhinestones to it.  The BOO sentiment flag seemed a bit bare, so I added a black button from my stash and then tied a little bow with striped black twine.  Have a great weekend and a Happy Halloween!

Bellariffic Friday - Halloween

It's Bellariffic Friday!  I'll confess, I almost didn't make it this week (which is shocking as I LOVE Halloween) but my friend Dana "encouraged" me and I turned it into a timed challenge for myself!  I only had one hour before bedtime and here's what I made.

I stamped Stella and her Broomstick in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with copics.  There really wasn't much to colour but I sure used a lot of copics!

The paper is Echo Park Happy Halloween from an old TE Key Ingredients Kit.  I used Martha Stewart's spiderweb punch for the border and some Tiny Twinkles beside the sentiment BOO!  The BOO sentiment is outlined with my black glaze pen to give it a bit more pop.  I used one of my "go to" favs when I'm in a hurry for the layout.  I cut out an extra broom and paper pieced it so it hung over the edge.  A few coats of black glaze pen on her hat and some glitter on her collar and hem, 'cause even witches have to have a bit of bling.  I did a little paper piercing in the bottom corners.  Some shiny lipstick courtesy of my clear glaze pen and she's ready to go, although she doesn't really look like she's in any hurry, does she?!
