Here's a birthday card I made for a friend at work, using the sweet PI Because You're Special.
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured her with copics. I popped her up onto a scalloped die and added the sentiment on a fishtail flag.
Today's card features the sweet PI Flurry of Love (MFT). I have always loved these PI images, they are so sweet and fast to colour up.
The layout is from an old 2015 Stampin' Up catalogue. I used one of their new silver foil snowflakes behind the image. The cardbase is stamped with a snowflake background and embossed with silver embossing powder. I added a couple of sparkly dots to finish it off.
I was asked to make a retirement card and I adore this little mouse as she is the perfect image for a retirement!
I stamped the image (MFT, Do not disturb this mouse) with Memento Tuxedo black ink ontoBella’sBestest paperand coloured it with copics. I did a little paper piecing on the chair and footstool and then added some tiny twinkles to the footstool as well.
The sentiment comes with the image and I masked it so I could stamp the Happy on top of the Retirement :) Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Just popping in with a quick card and a very simple layout seen online. These Pure Innocence girls colour up so quickly and are just so stinking cute!
I stamped the image PI Feeling Froggy with Memento Tuxedo black ink ontoBella’sBestest paperand coloured her with copics. The fishtail flag paper is MME Lime Twist "Life of the Party" and I added some enamel dots to finish it off. Cheerio.....Leslie
I made a couple of cards just for fun last month but forgot to blog them. I used PI "Happy Mail" - I know how happy I am when I receive happy mail, for no particular reason!
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured it with copics. The paper is MME Unforgettable. Her shoes are super shiney courtesy of some glossy accents and I added sparkle with my Wink of Stella pen. I stamped the sentiment on a banner and added a trio of sparkly dots.
I hope this card brings a smile to my friends when they receive it.
Today's card uses one of those sweet PI girls that I adore - Pumpkin Patch Girl.
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured it with copics. I added some of Bella's Grounds and Grasses around her. The paper is Lilybeedesign Autumn Spice and I paper pieced her little sweater. I added some twine with a small button at the top. The clouds were sponged on. I hope everyone has a fun Halloween.
I love any of the sweet PI images (MFT) and this cutie was made for a friend who did a huge favour to help me. The image is called Out on a Limb and she really did go "out on a limb" to help!
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured it with copics. I used the Stitched Rectangle die-namic to cut it out. I can't recall where I saw this layout but had sketched it out to remember to use. The paper is Fancy Pants Design "Park Bench" with a card base of Baja Breeze. I added some Wink of Stella to the hearts and some glossy accents to shine her shoes. There is a trio of matching colour dots but I don't think they show up too well. The sentiment is from Thanks A Bunch (MFT).
On the inside I added a strip of matching paper from the same collection and left some room to write my message.
I realize I had never shown the Christmas card I made for my co-worker Christal. She is so sweet and looks forward to my card each year.
This year I used the PI Elf Girl and this looks exactly like Christal a few years ago when she dressed up like an elf at the Christmas party! I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black ink ontoBella’sBestest paperand coloured it with copics. The paper is BoBunny "Mistletoe" with a Garden Green card base. I added a scallop edge border with rhinestone in each scallop for some bling. I adore my Ghost Snowflakes and use them on very special cards only so Christal got one and I added a button with a bow tied with baker's twine.
Her little booties have a red pearl on each and I added lots of glitter around her - to match her sparkling personality :)
I needed some thank you cards and chose the sweet PI Heart Stripes. I made 4 of these really quickly once I had the layout. On the "hand-delivered ones", I added rhinestones that I coloured to match with a copic marker in each of the scallops.
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black ink ontoBella’sBestest paperand coloured it with copics. The patterned paper is from my scrap pile and I paired it with Certainly Celery and Chocolate Chip. I added some matching ribbon and a scallop border. Jennifer McGuire is doing a wonderful thing on her blog - a November challenge called "Share Handmade Kindness". So, this is a start for me to thank the people around me - friends, family, co-workers. I encourage you to check out Jennifer's blog - she is one amazing woman! Cheerio.....Leslie
I am super late posting this card I made for my niece's birthday in September. One of her hobbies is fishing and I'm happy to say the card turned out just like I envisioned it!
Watercolouring is all the rage again so I first made the background using a variety of Distress Inks. Once it was dry I stamped the sweet PI Gone Fishing image with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto the watercoloured background and then stamped another image onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured that one with copics. I fussy cut it out and popped it up for some dimension.
I stamped a few little fish in the lake and popped one up on end of the fishing rod. I added a strip of red cardstock stamped with Diagonal Stripes BG and the rest of the card is simple, just a red mat on a white card base. I really enjoyed getting the watercolours out - it makes such a pretty background.
Even though it feels like summer this week, I know Fall has arrived because Starbucks is featuring it's famous Pumpkin Spice Lattes! Here's the card I made for them - check out those venti size drinks: )
I stamped PI Pumpkin Patch Girl with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured her with copics. I masked off the pumpkins that are in the wagon and replaced them with two Venti Pumpkin Spice Lattes! Her sweater is paper pieced. The paper is MME "Reunion" and SU Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate Chip.
On the inside I stamped the sentiment and then a row of tiny pumpkins on either side of the Pumpkin Spice Latte. I made them a loaf of Banana bread to go with their card, but think now it should have been a Pumpkin loaf - LOL.
It's been over a month since I played along with the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and I don't know why - I love their sketches! This is SSSC286 but I flipped it to work with my image.
I stamped the image (PI Pumpkin Patch Girl) with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured her with copics. The paper is Lilybeedesign "Autumn Spice" along with SU Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate Chip. I paper pieced her sweater and added, perhaps a bit too much, glossy accents to the pumpkins - boy do they shine!
Almost caught up with my SSSC cards - here's SSSC255!
I
stamped PI Freckles onto Bella's Bestest paper
with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics. I used the Blueprints 1 die-namics and attached the little flag with a brad. Her little top is paper pieced and the papers are MME Lost and Found Madison Avenue.
I was away on holiday so am a few weeks behind on my personal challenge to keep up with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenges but as this past weekend was a long weekend for us I spent most of yesterday in my stamp room. I'm happy to say I'm almost caught up so there will be lots of posts from me this week :)
I
stamped PI My Umbrella onto Bella's Bestest paper
with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics. The papers are MME Lime Twist Fly a Kite and I paper pieced her umbrella.
I'm a day late with these birthday wishes - hope my friend doesn't mind! I used Karen's SSSC252 and rotated the sketch once.
I
stamped PI Baseball Boy onto Bella's Bestest paper
with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured him with copics. I used the team colours - Cincinnati Reds! The background is done with the Diagonal Stripes Background stamp (MFT) and I fussy cut him out and popped him up with dimensionals. The border is made with the Fishtail Flags die-namic (MFT). The baseball is from Have an All Star die-namic (MFT) except it was as big as his head - LOL - so I used a small circle punch to make it more realistic.
I hope my friend's birthday was a "home-run"!
Cheerio.....Leslie
I had time
to play along with the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge (SSSC251) yesterday and added another birthday card to my stash.
I stamped
the PI Cause for Celebration (MFT) onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento
Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics. The paper is MME Abbey Road and I added a bit of ribbon and a flower
made with the Hybrid Camelia flower die-namic (MFT).I added some glitter to her bow from my Wink
of Stella pen and I applied a few coats of clear glaze pen to her shoes for
some shine.I really wanted to
straighten those tilted panels in the sketch :) but I stopped myself and stayed
true to the sketch - LOL.
On the
inside I stamped the same image again and then paired up two sentiments from
two different stamp sets - love when you can mix and match!
I'm very late making this card but was determined to keep up with my "Christmas" Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge to myself :)
The layout is SSSC245 and I made two identical cards as I had all the supplies out and it was pretty quick to colour up.
I
stamped PI Merry Kissmas onto Bella's Bestest paper
with Black Licorice Hybrid ink and coloured it with copics. I added some glitter to her hat and along the bottom for snow and I also added some tiny dots of glitter - they look like tiny snowflakes falling - but it's hard to see in the photo.
I was hurrying to finish these cards and totally forgot to take my copic photo - sorry.
So happy I was able to squeak this one in and looking forward to this Sunday's sketch!
Cheerio.....Leslie

I have been thinking about a Halloween card to make for my favourite Starbucks and today's SSSC242 was the perfect layout!
I
stamped PI Batty For You onto Bella's Bestest paper
with Black Licorice Hybrid ink and coloured her with copics. I used my black wink of stella pen for a little sparkle on her bat wings and crystal effects on her shoes. Of course, there HAD to be the Starbucks cup in there somewhere so I drew a little cup, coloured it and popped it up in her hand!
On the inside I used a bit more of the Halloween paper from the front, added the sentiment and then found the most perfect bat brad to add in the corner!
Here are
the copics I used.
I can't wait to give it to them tomorrow...they have been asking for weeks when their next card is coming!
Cheerio.....Leslie
Stamps: PI Batty About You Ink: Black Licorice Hybrid ink, copics Paper: Bella's Bestest paper, Echo Park Happy Halloween, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black Other: Black Wink of Stella, crystal effects, buttons, bat brad
I had time to play along with this weeks SSSC241 on Monday while I was waiting for a repair man to make an appearance...and yes you did read a bit of 'sarcasm' there! Anyhow, while I was waiting I made this card. I did rotate the sketch once to make it work better for me :)
I
stamped PI Batty For You onto Bella's Bestest paper
with Black Licorice Hybrid ink and coloured her with copics. I love these little Pure Innocence images - they are just so cute! I added a bit of Wink of Stella to her bat wings and of course crystal effects on her shoes.
On the inside I added a strip of the pattern paper and left room to write.
Here are
the copics I used.
Have a great week.
Cheerio.....Leslie

I'm telling you these doctor stamps are getting some work out from me lately! These cards weren't for retiring docs, but to welcome some new ones. I used Karen's SSSC226 for all three cards but just changed up the paper and hair colour :)
I
stamped the image onto Bella's Bestest paper
with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured them with copics. I paper pieced their jackets and added some rhinestones to their buttons and stethoscope.
I gave each one a co-ordinating flower with a button and bow in the middle. Cheerio.....Leslie
