Christmas Bauble

Here's another Christmas card for this year.  This was a card kit from Stampin' Up that made 8 cards.  I didn't have the stamp set that their sample was made from so I used one of my "many" uninked images :)

I do love this little kit from SU and wish I'd bought more - super value, super fast and super sweet!

Big Bella News!

Well, it's official.....I'm a BellaBabe!  I've been a big Stamping Bella fan for years and am SO happy to be part of Emily's team.  I love Stamping Bella - love that it's a Canadian company and love that it's in my neighbourhood - Toronto!  Thank you Emily for welcoming me to your Bella family and to the rest of my BellaBabes for their warm welcome!  Now let's get down to business.  Today's Bellariffic Friday challenge was "Winter Wonderland".

I used one of my fav Uptown Girls "Quinn in her boots".  She looks like she's in a winter wonderland with all the speckles of glitter I added as falling snow :)

I used a ghost snowflake with a bella donut and bonbon in the middle and popped it up for some dimension.

I like the way her scarf is cut out of the image - sort of like it's blowing in the wind and I added some Stardust Stickles to her hat.

The inside has just a small strip of the leftover paper along the edge.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is Sketch 25.  Email your card to Emily by next Thursday December 12 for a chance to win some Bella Bucks!

Have a good weekend.

Happy Hanukkah

I'm a bit late showing the Hanukkah cards I made this year.  I kept them simple as I had a few to make and was happy to use some of my new MFT stash!

I love the new die - it cuts out beautifully and colours up super fast.  So fast, in fact, that I forgot to take a photo of the copics I used...but I've listed them below.  I added some sparkle to the flames with my Gelly Roll glitter pen and added a Star embellishment.

Bellariffic Friday - Sketch 24

Today's Bellariffic Friday challenge is a sketch - and you know how much I love a sketch!

I used sweet "Uptown Girl Ava loves to celebrate"and colored her up all pretty and girly.

I fussy cut her out (which I seem to do a lot lately) and popped her up for some dimension.  The white layer behind was embossed with Swiss Dots - my "go to" embossing folder.

On the inside it's pretty simple, just a scallop edge for the border.

I used a ton of copics on this card but hey, that's what I have them for, right? :)

Have a good weekend.

Bellariffic Friday - Inspiration challenge

It's finally Friday and I had some time to play along with this week's Bellariffic Friday challenge - it was this inspiration photo.

I took the "wreath" image from the photo and made my card to look like a wreath.

I had fun making this card but will admit it was a bit fiddly to get the circle perfectly cut and Eve Under the Mistletoe perfectly aligned on the inside. Once the circle was cut it was pretty fast to finish off the card.  I like that Eve is on the inside and I like that I have another Christmas card done :)

Here are the copics I used.

Have a good weekend.

Bear buddies

When I made my Bellariffic Friday card I made a second one with a different coloured bear.  I had all the papers and supplies out so it made sense to make another one, although it's a slightly different layout.

I didn't add an embellishment but used a snowflake embossing folder as the background.  The inside is the same as my Bellariffic Friday card.

The copics were the same as well, except instead of a brown bear (E42, E43) I used C1, C3 for this little bear.

Bellariffic Friday - Sketch 23

Today's Bellariffic Friday is another sketch and I'm adding another card to my Christmas card box for 2013!

I was a little stumped by the small square in the bottom right corner but I'm happy with my little snowflake which I covered with Glitter Glaze - it's so sparkly in real life.  I used my favourite fishtail flags on the inside.

Here are the copics I used.

Have a great weekend.

Happy Christmas -SSSC197

It's been ages since I played along with yesterday's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge SSSC197 and since I'm a little behind on my Christmas cards for this year I decided to make it a Christmas card.

I just love coloring these sweet little PI girls and my friend Karen gave me some great tips for shading.

I fussy cut her out (the image, not Karen!) and placed her on top of the embossed circle.  I stamped a few snowflakes on the inside and kept it sentiment free, although Karen has already hinted that this should be her Christmas card :)

Here are the copics I used.

Bellariffic Fridays - Mix & Match

For today's Bellariffic Friday the challenge was "Mix and Match" - use more than one stamp on your card.  I inked up Life is Good, one of the new images from Diane Duda but I masked off the sentiment and used a different one (Celebrate) on the fishtail tag.

The layout is the MFTWSC147 from a few weeks ago.  I paper pieced her dress pockets and added some tiny twinkles as her buttons.  I love her little face - she's so happy, she makes me smile!

Here are the copics I used.

Have a great weekend.

Bellariffic Friday – Sketch 22

There’s nothing better to get my stamping mojo back than a sketch!  I made this birthday card for my BFF…..and yes we really do look like that in person – LOL!

I used Uptown Girls Pattie and Dottie Friends Forever and fancied them all up with glittery boas.  We will be going out to celebrate her birthday but I’m pretty sure we won’t be wearing boas.  On the inside I mimicked the sketch but left the oval without the usual Happy Birthday sentiment so I’d have more room to write.

Here are the copics I used.

Have a good weekend!
