Bellariffic Friday - For My Friends

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week the challenge was "For My Friends".  I know it's a bit of a shock to see a Christmas card but I wanted a head start on my cards for this year :)

I stamped Uptown Girls The Three Amigas onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured them with copics.  I went a bit crazy with my Wink of Stella pen but it just gives such a wonderful sparkle - I hope you can see it on this close up.  Oh, and I added some clear glaze pen to their fancy drinks.

The girls are the focus on this card but I added a little "jingle bell bow" to the side.

On the inside I made a border with the Chevron Stripes die-namic.  The sentiment comes with the Uptown Girls image and I think it's perfect for a friend.  The only predicament now is which friend to give this to! :)

Here are the copics I used.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is Sketch #2 and we hope you'll get stamping with us!

It's easy to play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win those Bella Bucks.  A $50 gift card would certainly come in handy with the new release that's coming soon!

Bellariffic Friday - Sketch 1

It’s Bellariffic Friday and our very first sketch of 2014.

You know I love a sketch and this was the perfect layout for my yet to be inked Mimi!

I stamped her on Bella's Bestest paper with Memento ink and coloured her with copics.  I added some crystal effects to her glasses and LOVE how they turned out!

Mimi comes with a bonus – a cute little sentiment “I need to see you badly”.  I didn’t use the sentiment this time as this card was a special order and needed to be blank inside but I did dress the inside up a bit with a cute die-cut edge.

Here are the copics I used.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is "For my Friends" so make any card with a friendship theme and you could win some Bella Bucks.  We hope you’ll play along!  Email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win those Bella Bucks and with Emily’s hints of the new release coming they would sure come in handy!

Sweet Sunday Doctor - SSSC202

I was asked to make a special birthday card for a doctor and I have the perfect stamp!  I have used this one over and over again and never tire of it.  I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 202 but rotated it to fit my image.

I stamped the good doctor on Bella's Bestest paper with Memento ink and coloured him with copics.  I added a little black rhinestone to his stethoscope.  I added the birthday greeting on the front to fit with the sketch and popped him up for some dimension.

Here are the copics I used.

Bellariffic Friday - Inspiration Challenge 1

Yay - our first Bellariffic Friday of 2014 and we've started it off with a great Inspiration photo.

For my card I took the colours from the photo and used Uptown Girls Clarissa and Camille.

I stamped them on Bella's Bestest paper and coloured them with copics.  I added a scallop border with some orange dots to bring out more of the colours and added a few dots of glitter here and there.  On the inside those Fishtail Flags made another appearance!

Here are the copics I used.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next weeks' Bellariffic Friday challenge is our first sketch of 2014 and you know I love a sketch!

A Sweet (SSSC) start to 2014

I love starting the new year with a clean purge....house, files, clothes, recipes, etc and guess what I found in one of my files?  A Christmas card I never blogged!  It is Karen's 200th Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge - I love her sketches and am in awe of how she comes up with new ones all the time!

I used a snowflake in place of the little flag Karen had at the top of her sketch, covered it with Glitter Glaze to make it sparkle and added a bonbon in the middle.

On the inside those oh-so-favourite Fishtail Flags made another appearance (I really must think of some new layouts for inside this year) but in my "purging" I deleted that photo - oops.

Here are the copics I used.

Gliding into 2014

I used sweet little Ramona for my last card of 2013 - she's gliding into the year!

I stamped her on Bella's Bestest White paper and coloured it with copics.  I used my new Wink of Stella pen to add shimmer to her hood.  I have seen this pen on many stamping blogs and finally got my hands on one - LOVE it!!  So shiny and sparkly without getting all covered in glitter :)

I added a nice big bow to finish it off.

Wishing you all a very stamp-happy new year!

Christmas Thank You cards

Once the presents have been opened and the turkey dinner has settled I like to get right on with making my thank you cards.  This year they were super simple thanks to a box of blue striped notecards I picked up at my local Dollarama.  I removed the "interesting" embellishment they had on and covered it with a die-cut panel and some felt snowflakes.  A sparkly donut with a dot in the middle, the "Thank You" sentiment and they are ready to go!

As no two snowflakes are alike, each of my cards was just a little bit different.

Bellariffic Friday - "Anything Goes"

It's Bellariffic Friday and our last challenge for 2013 is "Anything Goes".  I think this is officially my last Christmas card for 2013 too!  Ramona is all ready for Christmas - she's bringing home her tree and her BFF, Mr. Penguin :)

I stamped the image on Bella's Bestest White paper and coloured it with copics.  I added lots of sparkle to the snow with my Glistening Snow Writer pen and Xmas Red Stickles on the Christmas tree ornaments.  I used some Tiny Twinkles for her coat buttons.

The snowflake is super sparkly in real life thanks to a coat of Glitter Glaze.  I added a Bonbon in the middle and a loopy bow behind.

The inside has a border made with a snowflake punch and I stamped just part of the image leaving lots of room for a sentiment.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  We're taking some time off now to enjoy the holidays.  Bellariffic Fridays start back up on January 10, 2014 and the first challenge for the new year is an Inspiration Photo.

You've lots of time to play along with us and email your card to Emily by Thursday January 9 for a chance to win some Bella Bucks!

Have a wonderful Christmas and a stamp-happy new year!

Christmas Countryside

It's down to the wire now, with card making.  This is another simple card I made, and yet it took a bit longer than I thought it would considering there was virtually no stamping and no colouring!

I saw this die in the summer at my friend Dana's local stamp store.  Their card sample was gorgeous!  I ordered the die and tweaked the card a bit to make it "Canada Post friendly".

Bellariffic Friday - Have a "Starbucks" Christmas

It's Bellariffic Friday and today's challenge is Sketch 25.  It's our last sketch of the year, and I followed it almost perfectly - I just left off the strip at the bottom.  I made a card that is turning out to be my "annual favourite" card to make....it's the card I give to my Starbucks friends!  They greet me every morning with a smile on their face and my drink pretty much ready!

I love being able to incorporate Starbucks somewhere in my card.  I mimicked the Starbucks Holiday cup design for this year and made a Venti non-fat, no water, extra hot, tazo chai for my snowman :)

The inside is some matching DSP with just a bit of the image stamped in the corner.

They loved it!  They actually stopped serving to ooh and aah over it and then put it up on their bulletin board for everyone to see.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next weeks' Bellariffic Friday challenge is our last one for 2013 and the  it's "Anything Goes" so  stamp whatever your little heart desires.  Email your card to Emily by next Thursday December 19 for a chance to win some Bella Bucks!

Have a good weekend.
