Birthday Wishes - SSSC250

With a new year comes new goals and one of my stamping goals is to play along more with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenges.  She puts so much time and effort in to these sketches and they are great for me - I almost can't make a card now without using a sketch!  Another stamping goal is to use up what's in my "NEW stamps/dies/stencils" bin.  I'm sure I'm not alone with all the stuff I buy but haven't used yet :)

I stamped DG Party Time (MFT) onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics.  I  used some of the fun papers from Bo Bunny "Surprise" pack and added just a bit of Wink of Stella to her hair clip.  So, that's my card for the SSSC250.  Have a good week.

2014 Year in Review cards

Happy New Year and welcome to 2015!  I've seen several stamping blogs that do a "year in review" sort of thing and thought I'd give it a try.  It's hard to pick my own favourites, so I had some help from Danabella!  It was fun to go back and review what I made throughout the year.

JANUARY brings us Mimi - love her fun glasses!

FEBRUARY brings us one of those crazy Senioritas!  I adore how this one turned out!

MARCH I started to play around with stencils and fell in love!  This card using a Gorjuss girl was also perfect to practice my hair colouring.

APRIL brought lots of birthdays and these Uptown Girls know how to celebrate!

MAY brings us sunshine and spring flowers and I loved this butterfly card - virtually no stamping but I loved the finished result!

JUNE brought me right out of my comfort zone with this card challenge which was "one layer wonder" but it turned out to be one of my top 5 favs this year...in fact I will say it IS my fav for 2014!

JULY brought us to Christal's birthday card - she loves those Uptown Girls too!

AUGUST brought a 50th Wedding Anniversary party and this card made my top 5 favs too!

SEPTEMBER brought the new release from Stampingbella and with it my new loves...Buddy and Jolly.  Seriously I could not get enough of these little guys and they easily made one of my top 5 fav!

OCTOBER brings Halloween and this Too Cute To Spook PI girl!

NOVEMBER was full on for Christmas card making and Rudolph just makes me smile with his wonky eyes!

DECEMBER brought this little cutie and she made my top 5 favs too!

Well, I hope you enjoyed this look back at 2014.  Wishing you and yours all the best in 2015.....let the stamping begin!

Happy New Year Snookums

I was trying to finish up the few SSSC I missed for this month but time has run out!  So I'm ending 2014 with one of my favourite images from Stampingbella sweet little Snookums for the SSSC247.  I rotated the sketch once and 'tweaked' it a bit :)

I stamped Snookums onto Bella's Bestest paper with Black Licorice Hybrid ink and coloured him with copics.  Doesn't he look festive - I think he's still celebrating the holidays.

Here are the copics I used.

Wishing you a very healthy and stamp-happy new year!

Feel better

It's almost the end of 2014 and I wanted to finish up a couple of cards that were half done.  Here's one that's for a friend who has just had a knee replacement!

I stamped Flower for a True Friend onto Bella's Bestest paper with Black Licorice Hybrid ink and coloured it with copics.  I fussy cut it out and popped it up over a circle cut out with one leaf hanging over the edge.  The background was done with Square Tiles stencil.  I added the sentiment from Sofia the Sicky onto a Fishtail Flag.  For the inside I stamped the image again in a light ink so that I can write something over it.

Here are the copics I used.

I'm gearing up for a new year of stamping and Bellariffic Fridays and will have the first challenge in my next post.

Bellariffic Friday - Happy Birthday DanaBella!!!

It's Bellariffic Friday and our last one for 2015!  We ended this year with a sketch and this is my card for the BellaBabe who keeps us all organized with the weekly challenges, etc...DanaBella!  It's her birthday so please pop on over to her blog and wish her Happy Birthday!

I rotated the sketch to work with my image.

I stamped UptownGirl Claudia has a Candy onto Bella's Bestest paper with Black Licorice Hybrid ink and coloured her with copics.  Then I fussy cut her out and popped  her up for some dimension.  I added a generous layer of Crystal Effects to the lollipop and of course my Wink of Stella for some shimmer.

In place of the hearts from the sketch, I used four knots of ribbon.  There's a lot of orange on this card - 'cause it's DanaBella's fav colour.  Here are the copics I used.

We're taking a few weeks off and will be back with a new year of Stampingbella goodness!  I'll be updating after the holiday with all the news and our first challenge for 2015!  Wishing you all a very peaceful holiday, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah...however you celebrate, enjoy!

I'm a few weeks behind in my SSSC card challenge to  myself but wanted to keep at them even if this is a few weeks late :)

This is the SSSC246 and I rotated the sketch once to work with my image.  I stamped the super chic gal "ALM Candy Cane Kisses" onto Bella's Bestest paper with Black Licorice Hybrid ink and coloured her with copics.  Of course my Wink of Stella pen was used here and there and I added a couple of snowflakes with a sparkly donut and bonbon in the middle.

Here are the copics I used.

Bellariffic Friday - Inspiration 13

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we had a beautiful winter inspiration photo - in fact it's perfect for the weather we woke up to yesterday morning!

I decided to take the "wintery whiteness and the branches" part of the photo for my card and inked up one of the new releases Snow Pals.  Yes, I'm still working my way through all the of the new images from Stampingbella :)

I stamped Snow Pals onto Bella's Bestest paper with Black Licorice Hybrid ink and coloured it with copics.  Again, I used the coloured index card from the stamp set as my guide for colours and shading.  I added some pine boughs to the top of the card and coloured over them with my Stardust Clear pen for a subtle shimmer.  I'm not sure you can see it in the photo but it's really lovely.

Here are the copics I used.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is our last one for 2014!

We'll be taking a rest over the holidays and back at it in 2015 - new challenges and new sketches for a new year!  So why not play along with our last one for this year?  Just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks.

Bellariffic Friday Sketch 24

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we had a cute sketch.  I couldn’t resist, I’m sorry, I HAD to use the uber-adorable Buddy and Jolly again!

I stamped Buddy and Jolly onto Bella's Bestest paper with Black Licorice Hybrid ink and coloured them with copics using the index card again as my guide.  I fussy cut them out and popped them up onto a circle embossed with the Seeing Spots embossing folder.  The two flags were made from the Fishtail Flags die-namics.  I added a little Wink of Stella for some sparkle and some clear glaze pen to the top of their cocoa cups.

Here are the copics I used.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is a beautiful Inspiration photograph.  Be inspired by it and take anything you wish from it…..except perhaps all that snow in real life!

We hope you'll play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks.
