I inked up Izzie has balloons for this week's Bellariffic Sketch #13. I haven't inked up an Izzie image in a while - so it was certainly time!
I stamped Izzie in Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured the image with copics.
Her cute little outfit was perfect for paper piecing - the pattern paper is retired SU with Old Olive as the base and the matching bow. I added a little pink Atyou Spica pen for some glitter on the heart lollipop and the heart on her hat. Her little shoes have a nice shine from my black glaze pen. I think I just might make another one of these with my leftover paper - she's too cute to give away now :)

Cheers Loz (MFTWSC78)
This week's MFTWSC78 was too perfect for the card I needed to make! Remember Loz? At the end of this week she is heading off to another hospital for 6 months. We will miss her cheery little face, cute accent and funny sayings.....but the good news is her new hospital is very close so we'll still be able to get together!
I stamped the oh-so-perfect PI Girl Doctor in Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics. The sentiment is from PI World's Best Doctor - I'm keeping it all medical here :)
I used some pattern paper from Lilybeedesign Victoria Park and SU Rose Red as the base. Her jacket just had to be paper pieced and I added some tiny twinkles as buttons. I kept to the sketch exactly using MFT Simply Scallops and First Place Award Ribbon die-namics, some clear rhinestones added to the scalloped border and this card is ready for Loz.
I'm sure she will love this card and treasure it just as our patients and I treasure her!

Sweet Sunday Bluebirds - SSSC161
I needed a thank you card for a bird lover.....and specifically bluebirds. I googled bluebirds to get the proper colouring and found this perfect stamp from Gina K in my stash. I used the SSSC161 as my layout, although I rotated it once to the right and took a wee bit of liberty with that piece of blue card stock in the background. It's a lovely piece of textured paper, but was a smidge too small and since it's from England I'm not likely to get any more for a while but that's the beauty of a sketch, it's open to interpretation :)
I stamped the bird from Home Tweet Home in Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured it with copics. I will say I went through 3 birds before I was happy with the colouring!
The card stock is SU Certainly Celery, So Saffron and some retired Cutie Pie DSP. I cut out the bluebird and popped it up for some dimension. The flowers are a mixture of dies from MFT: Botanical Beauty, Pretty Posies, Prima Donna Petals and Royal Leaves for the leaves - love the texture on those. Fishtail Flags is still one of my fav dies and I added a couple of green dots to the middle of the flowers to finish them off. I do hope my friend loves her bluebird card as much as I enjoyed my visit with her!

Big Birthday dreams
In my last couple of posts I've mentioned my love of the TE Key Ingredient/Project Pantry Kits....this card came together so quickly using another one of those kits!
I stamped two of the sentiments from Big Greetings in Cherry Cobbler ink and used the Vertical Greetings die-namic to cut it out. The Monarch Border die-namic was used along the bottom and I used a tiny bit of the negative cut along the bottom of the vertical greeting die. Botanical Beauty was another one of my new purchases at the MFT store - I am slowly working my way through all my new treasures. A bit of ribbon from the kit and a bonbon and this card was done!

When a sketch has a mind of its own!
Do you ever start making a card from a sketch and with one wrong cut, it takes a turn for the worse? Suddenly it looks nothing like the original sketch but you persevere and voila, a masterpiece (LOL) is created. This is what happened to me with this card. I started with good intentions and a lovely sketch from Card Patterns Sketch 168 but then one wrong cut (with my last bit of fav paper!) and I thought it was over. But I stuck with it and the card took on a whole new look. I have to say I LOVE it!
I stamped the sweet little PI girl Heart Stripes in Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics.
I tried some blond hair as this is going to my dear friend, Denise, who is sporting a new sassy, sweet blond haircut. The paper is one of my favs from a TE Project Pantry kit - sorry can't remember the actual name of the paper. I used 1/2 a lace doily and paper pieced her little jumper, adding two tiny rhinestones for her buttons. A green atyou Spica pen gave her a little sparkle and I added a button ties with some lime green bakers twine. Finally, I used my new Fishtail Flags dies - LOVE them! The sentiment is All Smiles and that is exactly what Denise was doing as she headed out for her big day....smiling from ear to ear and it made me SO happy!!

Rain, rain, go away - MFTWSC74
Last night it was STILL raining here (I thought it would never end!) so I decided I needed a pick-me-up. What better way than to make a card?! I used this week's MFTWSC74 sketch.
The minute I saw the sketch I knew exactly what I was going to use. The Vertical Greetings Die and Stamp set were perfect. I used an old TE Key Ingredient kit - love that everything matches and I particularly love these papers! The circle is embossed with Polka Dots embossing folder. I added a white felt rose made with the MFT Rolled Rose die and a tiny rhinestone in the middle. Two Leafy Flourish finished it off. It's bright, it's cheery, it was the perfect pick-me-up!

Bellariffic Friday - Sketch 11
Wow, I can't believe it's June 1st! Where is the time going? I haven't been able to spend as much time as I'd like in my stamp room but I was determined to play along with this week's Bellariffic Friday as it was another sketch (#11) and I love a sketch!
I stamped Jackson the Champion in Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured him with copics.
The pattern paper is MME Lime Twist Fly a Kite and I used some solid cardstock in wild wasabi and tangerine tango. I added a notched border in chocolate chip with a bit of green ribbon on top. I like that the circles in the pattern paper mimic the soccer ball. The sketch was a square card but I changed it to a regular sized card and kept this one really basic. It's for a boy so I kept away from the glitter and bows and trust me, that was hard!
All in all, a pretty simple and quick card to make. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Bellariffic Friday - Yellow, Blue, Black
Today's Bellariffic Friday is a colour challenge and I was SO happy with the colours (yellow, blue and black) because I could use my new Lilybeedesign Buttercup papers which were perfect!
I stamped Jump for Joy in Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured them with copics.
There wasn't much to colour as I paper pieced their dresses - yes, I know, it's like I'm a little girl again playing with paper dolls! I added a Monarch border in black cardstock with some gorgeous SU pleated ribbon over top and a few rhinestones to bling it up. Some sewing around the edge and a bit of Atyou Spica pen on their dresses and these girls are ready to celebrate!

Bellariffic Friday - Sketch 10
It's Bellariffic Friday and the start of a long weekend - doesn't get any better than that! This week was another fab sketch from Ebru. I'm quite behind in my Christmas card making and this was a great sketch for Cupcake With A Holly On Top...so great that while I had all the paper and supplies out, I made two!
I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo black and coloured it with copics.
The paper is Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather with some red cardstock for the mat. I punched out the sentiment with an oval punch and added a scallop oval behind it. I followed the sketch exactly this time :) adding some zigzag stitching around the image and some red ribbon behind it. Crystal effects made those balls shine and I added a bit of atyou spica pen to the base for a bit of sparkle - although that might be hard to see. I'm happy with the way this turned and and even happier that I have two more cards to add to my Christmas card box!

Butterfly Thanks
I needed some quick thank you cards and I found an old Stampin' Up catalogue with a sample similar to this card. It was a simple and clean layout so I just changed the colours!
I stamped the butterfly from the Strength & Hope set in Pink Pirouette, Certainly Celery and Marina Mist and added a tiny rhinestone to each one. The Certainly Celery grosgrain is a perfect match and the sentiment is from MFT Fresh from the Oven. These were fast to make and, I think, so pretty.
