Bellariffic Friday - Monochromatic

Does this count as monochromatic?  It is just one colour....purple....so I'm saying it does! :)

I made this for a friend at work whose brother is getting married.  I love when I can make a card that's a special order.....from the bride and groom's hair colour to the wedding colours - love it!

This Uptown image was perfect for the happy couple!  I kept the card pretty simple so that all the attention is on the bride and groom....as it should be :)  I had a bow on it but it looked a bit too bulky so changed it and added the three flowers.

The inside was also very simple.

Here are the copics I used.

Here's wishing them both a wonderful wedding day and many years of happiness.

Paddington Bear - SSSC192

Here's a quick cute card I made for a friend across the pond!  She actually gave me this stamp and I'm sorry to say I've only just inked it up.  Paddington is adorable!  I used a Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge SSSC192 for my layout.

I surprised myself by not adding any embellishments!  It's going overseas so embellishments can be a problem,  but I really just liked it as it is...embellishment free. :)

Here are the copics I used.

Bellariffic Friday - Circles

Today's Bellariffic Friday is all about circles.  I took this literally with my paper, my image and my embellishments.  This birthday card is headed to my cousin in England.  Officially, he's a teenager now - 13 years old!

The layout is the SSSC191.  I wasn't able to play along with the sketch in time but really liked the layout so stored it away for future use and it was perfect with the circle in it!  I added a glob of Crystal Effects to the soccer ball.

Here are the copics I used.

Bellariffic Friday - Sketch 18

Well, did you survive this week with the back to school and back to routines?  I'm glad it was a short week!  Today's Bellariffic Friday is Sketch 18 and I went the chic route, not the cute route!

Uptown Girl Audrey looks right at home in Paris, don't you think?

I went with my "go to" inside layout - I just love the Fishtail Flags!  Here are the copics I used.

Violin Girl - MFTWSC140

This week's MFTWSC140 sketch had me stumped at first, but then I reminded myself "don't stress, it's just a sketch, it's just a starting point, think outside the box, LOL" and here's what I came up with.  This is for a friend who is headed to the opera and this little PI was too perfect!

I shortened the Let's Chat die-namic to fit the sentiment on the front.  MFT has a great video here showing you how.  On the inside I used a sentiment from Mouse in the House -  It's Your Birthday.

Here are the copics I used.

Birthday Roses

I can't believe it's September 1st - where did the summer go? :(

Today I made a birthday card for Auntie Mollie.  She lives in England, so it had to be embellishment free to make Canada Post happy and have NO green on it to make Auntie Mollie happy.  See, she doesn't like green.  Try to make a card with absolutely no green - it's really hard!

I remember Karen made this card last week and I loved the cool in-lay trick on it.  I decided to CASE it for Auntie Mollie's card.  I added stickles on the letters and I sprayed the stamped roses with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist for more sparkle.  It looks so pretty but is hard to see in the photo.

Birthday Balloons

I realize I forgot to post the second birthday card I made on this post.  It used the same papers and supplies but a slightly different layout.  I used the Vertical Greetings die-namic but shortened it for the sentiment - love when you can do that with a die!  The middle balloon has a coating of Glitter Glaze Sheer Sparkle on it.  When it dried it had curled the edges a bit which made the balloon pop a wee bit more.

I am loving this set for fast birthday cards!

Bellariffic Friday - Polka Dots

It's Bellariffic Friday and I wasn't able to play along last Friday but I had a really good excuse....I was visiting DanaBella!!  I made this card for her to thank her for her wonderful hospitality and even though this Uptown Girl is called "Opal" I will forever know her as "Dana"...cause it reminds me of Dana :)

This week's theme is Polka Dots and I went full out - with the paper and the ribbon and the trio of bella dots.  I added some tiny specks of glitter to the flowers on her dress and of course her wine glass - a merlot, I think - has several coats of clear glaze pen.  I love the sentiment (which comes with it!).

I used a ton of copics on this and had a lot of fun personalizing it for DanaBella!

Have a great weekend.

It's the Busiest Birthday Month - MFTWSC137

August is the busiest month for birthday cards for me and I used this week's MFTWSC137 for two of them!

This came together super fast and I used some of my new MFT stamps and die-namics.  I love the balloon one with the matching die!  I added some glimmer with my GellyRoll Stardust clear pen to the stars on the sentiment.  These cards are perfect for the "masculine" cards I need this month - I do struggle with birthday cards for men/boys and the bonus is they are perfect for mailing - no bulky buttons or bows :)

Heart Strings - MFTWSC136

I love making cards but I LOVE making special order cards!  This was for a young lady to give her boyfriend who was going to be away for a while.  I used today's MFTWSC136 sketch which was super fast to make!

The sweet PI was the perfect image as her boyfriend plays the violin and how cute is that sentiment?!

For the flower I used MFT felt which really is the BEST and cuts so crisp and clean and, of course, some clear glaze pen on her shoes with a tiny rhinestone.

Here are the copics I used.
