Bellariffic Friday - Kraft or Krafty?

Finally Friday and this week's Bellariffic Friday theme is Kraft - use kraft coloured paper, ribbon, embellishment, ink, anything kraft coloured on your card.  I was a bit "krafty" with the use of my kraft :)  I just used it as the base of my card and on the scallop border and die-cut image.....that counts, right?

This was a special order card for Christal's Mum.  It was her birthday this week and Christal picked the image, told me the colour of her Mum's hair, glasses and the rest was up to me.  I've never met her Mum so I'm hoping I did her justice with her redish highlights and her pretty sparkly green glasses which I added some crystal effects to, to make them pop.  Speaking of pop, I fussy cut Addytude out and popped her up for some dimension.

For the inside I used my oh so loved Fishtail Flags again and added the sentiment that comes with the image - love that.  I added a separate Happy Birthday below.

Here are the copics I used.  Oh, I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 183 (SSSC183) again - loved that sketch!

Happy Birthday Colleen!

Sweet Sunday Secretary - SSSC183

The next few weeks.....well months really.....are going to be very busy at work as we pack up and move to our new building.  It's exciting and stressful all at the same time.  I made this for my co-worker, Christal, to thank her for all her hard work so far and in the weeks to come!  I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge from last Sunday (SSSC183).

The stamp set is called "Confidential" from There She Goes and it has so many funny sentiments to choose from.  One of my favourites is "My job is so confidential, I don't even know what I'm doing" :)  But the sentiment I chose for the inside seemed more fitting for us at the moment.  I'll be glad when the move is over and we're all settled in - look how neat and tidy her desk is!

The copics I used are shown below.

Bellariffic Friday - Sketch 9

Confession....I didn't follow this sketch exactly.  Some of my layers are a bit short and a bit long, but that's the fun of a sketch - it's just a starting point.  I made this for a co-worker and liked the bright fun colours.  I even tried to get the same highlights that she has in her hair!

I have had a lot of use from this image but I think Execubella has taken "early retirement" - can't find her on the Stamping Bella website :)

Those are the copics I used.  Have a great weekend.

PI Sweetness - MFTWSC122

Being as I flipped last week's MFTWSC I decided to leave things alone for this week (MFTWSC122) - that and the fact that it's a pretty sweet sketch as it is!

It's a well known fact that I love sweets and cotton candy is no exception :)

I added some stickles to the cotton candy -mmm, I can almost taste it now! Her t-shirt is paper pieced and I added several coats of clear glaze pen to her shoes along with two tiny twinkles.  A sweet little button flower finishes it off.

My fav Fishtail Flags made another appearance on the inside.  Here are the copics I used.

Super Star Shirley - MFTWSC121

My Auntie Shirley did her first parachute jump at age 79!!  She's always telling her grandchildren, "You're never too old to do silly things" and she wanted to do something "exciting" before she turned 80.  Along with the excitement of the jump she raised £2,553.38 (and that's pounds, not dollars!) for a charity that gives residential holidays to disadvantaged children in England.  I used this week's MFTWSC121 but flipped it upside down.

The PI Plane Amazing image was perfect as that's exactly what my Auntie Shirley looked like! She wore a blue/yellow jumpsuit and goggles but I gave her the wings for being so brave!  I also added a generous layer of crystal effects to her goggles.

I wish I could have been there in person to cheer her on but these photos made me smile and my cousins kept me up to date with a play by play :)

And here she is with her jumping partner having just landed!

I'm SO proud of my Super Star Auntie!!

Bling it up - Bellariffic Friday

Today's Bellariffic Friday theme is "Bling it up" and I knew immediately I'd be making a Christmas card (I'm sadly VERY behind this year).  Nothing says bling like a sparkly snowflake!

I love Ramona and I love Christmas and I love snowflakes so you can imagine, I'm pretty pleased with my card :)  I used a bit more of one of my fav Christmas papers - I only have 1/2 sheet left.  What will I do when I run out?!  Lots of bling around the image, on her coat and of course that perfect snowflake.  I used liquid applique on her hood and tassel puffed up with some glitter.

I kept the inside pretty simple with just the image re-stamped.

Here are the copics I used.   I'm hoping this card will push me back on the Christmas card-making wagon!

Party - MFTWSC120

This week's MFTWSC120 was a great sketch but I rotated it once.  I also added one extra flag as "PART" would have seemed odd - LOL!

I love paper piecing these little mice.  A layer of crystal effects on the cake icing makes it shine and some glitter on the candle makes it sparkle.

This card had to stay pretty flat for mailing purposes.  I would have loved to pop up those flags but Canada Post charges extra for dimension :)

Here are the copics I used.

Have a great weekend.

Bellariffic Friday - Shoe-a-holic

Today's Bellariffic Friday is Sketch 8 and I made this for one of the doctors at work.  It's her birthday and she loves her shoes...well, who doesn't love shoes?!

I labelled all her shoe boxes with, hopefully, some of her favourite shoe stores.  For the embellishment, a couple of prima flowers with a button bow seemed to fit and I resisted using my "go to" Fishtail Flags on the inside and went with an open scallop border.

Here are the copics I used.

Girl Talk - MFTWSC119

My card for this week's MFTWSC119 was a little tricky for me.  I didn't have the large scallop die-namic from the Blueprints 1or the Party Banner die-namic but a sketch is for personal interpretation, so I did just that :)

Even though I love my IPhone, I'm getting the itch for an IPad now after spending a week using my Mums!  I used the Turquoise Atyou Spica pen on her hairband and added two tiny rhinestones for the camera lens.

I used the larger of the Chevron Stripes die-namic on the inside and stamped the sentiment in MFT Black Licorice ink.  It stamps so crisp and clean - I LOVE this ink!!

Sweet Sunday Spa - SSSC181

It's been a while since I've played along with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.  I love her sketches and for this one, SSSC181, I rotated it once to work with my image.

I really wanted the polish bottle to shine so added a layer of crystal effects.

Here are the copics I used.
