Bellariffic Friday - Inspiration Flowers

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we had a GORGEOUS inspiration photo!

I loved all the bright colours of the flowers and of course I spotted a teeny tiny bit of turquoise on "someone's" boots so used that too in my image.

I stamped Patsy Pixie onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics.  I sponged some clouds in the sky and added a cute picket fence which I popped up with some teeeeeeny tiny pieces of dimensionals.  Of course I added lots of pixie dust (glitter) on Patsy and her flowers.

Here are the copics I used.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is Sketch #11.  Don't be scared of those arrows :)  remember a sketch is just a starting point.

We hope you'll get stamping with us.  It's easy to play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks.

Thank You

I made this as a thank you card for a sweet gal at work.  The sketch is loosely based on Karen's SSSC219 from a few weeks ago.

I stamped the image onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured it with copics.  The letters are paper pieced and covered with my Wink of Stella pen for some extra sparkle.  I made a small tab for the "Fabulous" sentiment.

Here are the copics I used.

Bellariffic Friday - Sketch 10

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we had another sketch.

I rotated the sketch to work with my card and left off one of the little tabs - that's the beauty of a sketch...you can use what you like and make it work for you!  I made this as a thank you for the wonderful couple who hosted the surprise anniversary party last week.

I stamped Opal the Optimist onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics.  I added some Wink of Stella for a little sparkle on her dress and some clear glaze pen to her wine glass....well I remembered to do that after I took the photo, so you can just imagine it's there :)  The trio of mulberry roses were just perfect to finish the card off.

Here are the copics I used.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is a gorgeous inspiration photo - perfect for this time of year with all the planting and flowers that are out.  Why not stamp along with us?!

Beautiful Butterflies - SSSC220

Yesterday was the Victoria Day holiday so I had a little time to do some stamping and played along with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC220

I used one of the purchases from my trip to the MFT store 3 months ago - I haven't used even half of what I bought then....what does that say?  I bought too much?  Or I need more stamping time? :)

I loved this butterfly die-namic and this card came together so quickly, I made a spare to have on hand.  I cut the background butterfly out of vellum cardstock and used my Wink of Stella pen on the top butterfly.  A few random rhinestones and a bit of silver cord finished this card off.  The sentiment is stamped onto Bella's Bestest paper with Baja Breeze ink and I used the First Place Award Ribbon die-namic for the banner.

Here the second card I made using a different sentiment.

Happy Anniversary Michael and Vicky!

This is the special 30th Wedding Anniversary card I made for my friends.  I looked up 30th Anniversary and it was pearls so I went with a soft cream look and of course, some pearls!  The card was being hand delivered to their "surprise party" so I knew I could "bump it up" as I used a clear cello bag for the envelope.

I made the flowers using vellum cardstock, some MFT die-namics and once they were assembled gave them a light spray of glimmer mist.  The sentiment is stamped onto some vellum and then wrapped around the cream cardstock which I embossed.  I added some pearls to the middle of each flower and a row of tiny pearls under the sentiment.

They were totally surprised and it was a lovely party for a very special and very loved couple - here's what 30 years of love looks like!

Bellariffic Friday - Stitch It Up

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week the challenge was to "Stitch It Up"....sewing, faux sewing, anything stitchy.  I went with some basic sewing to let the Uptown Girls stand out.

I stamped Belinda and Bernadette onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured them with copics.  These two remind me SO much of my two sweet friends...Karen and Dana.  That's Karen on the left and Dana on the right and they have been SO supportive and encouraging in my stamping life and my personal life - mwah to you both :)  I used some of their favourite colours for their clothes and I think I got their hair colour almost perfect!  The Wonky Border die-namic was perfect for sponging some clouds in the sky.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment that comes with the image and added a small flower for a pop of colour.

Here are the copics I used.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is another sketch (#10).

Happy Mail - SSSC219

I played along with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge again this week (SSSC219).  I loved that the image is called Happy Mail - who doesn't like to get happy mail?!  I'm sending this to a special someone and hope it makes her smile.

The image is stamped onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured with copics.  I couldn't resist the urge to paper piece her dress and used my Wink of Stella pen on her barrette and the mailbox heart.

Here are the copics I used.

Bellariffic Friday - Sketch 9

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we're up to Sketch #9.  I used it to add another card to my Christmas card box for 2014.

It's no secret that I adore any Ramona image!  This sweet one of her sharing her hot chocolate with her friend Mr. Penguin might be used for a Christmas card or a December birthday card - of which I have a few.

I stamped Ramona Shares Her Hot Chocolate onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured it with copics.  It looks like a load of glitter fell on that snowflake and it did - trust me - LOL!  I added a sparkly dot and donut to the middle.

On the inside I stamped a few snowflakes leaving room for my sentiment.

Here are the copics I used.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is "Stitch It Up" and we hope you'll stamp or should I say stitch something up :)  Sewing, faux stitching, anything stitchy.  It's easy to play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks.

Sweet Snowman - SSSC218

I am really behind in my Christmas card making for this year.  Usually I am well underway but I have less than 5 made - eek!  I'm going to try really hard to play along with the SSSC and make them all Christmas cards.  Karen's sketch this week (SSSC218) was easy....well except for those tilted panels :)  I will admit I only tilted one!

I stamped Trim the Branches Snowman onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured it with copics.  I had only a 1/2 sheet left of this pattern paper and decided to make two cards the same - easy when you have all the stuff out.  I added some glitter to the snowman and the ground and of course my Wink of Stella pen on the Christmas ornaments.

Here are the copics I used.

Bellariffic Friday - Inspiration Challenge

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we had a great inspiration photo with my favourite colour....turquoise!

From the photo I used the colour I took the frame shapes, the texture on the large frame and used one of the new releases I hadn't inked up yet.  I stamped Flower for a True Friend onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured it with copics.  I did the "out of the box with nesties" tutorial I found on Splitcoast (click here for it) because I wanted the leaves to extend out of the oval frame.  It was pretty hard for me to keep this card embellishment and glitter free :) but sometimes less is more.

This image comes with the most beautiful sentiment.

Here are the copics I used.
