Bellariffic Friday - Sketch #2

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week the challenge was another sketch. But before I get to that, have you seen all the fabulous sneak peeks Emily is showing of her new release?  LOVE them!!

I stamped the image onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured it with copics.  The paper is retired SU - so old that I can't even recall the name :)
I kept the card pretty simple so it'll be easy to mail and just added a trio of bonbons in the bottom corner.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is "Valentines" and we hope you'll get stamping with us.  It's easy to play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks.

Bellariffic Friday - Colour Challenge

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we had our first Colour Challenge of 2015 and what a gorgeous photo it is!

I think I managed to use all of the colours in my card  :) and I used Uptown Girl Madison Has A Margarita as my image.

I stamped Madison onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics.  I kept the layout pretty simple with just a scallop border and the sentiment stamped onto a vellum banner.  The polka dot background was done with a large polka dot stencil that I embossed and then sponged over with some Salty Ocean distress ink.  I added some Wink of Stella to the trim on her dress and a layer of crystal effects to her drink for some shine.

On the inside I mimicked the front with the colours and scallop border and then stamped Madison again in the corner with a lighter ink.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is another sketch.

We hope you'll get stamping with us.  It's easy to play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks.

Baseball Birthday wishes

I'm a day late with these birthday wishes - hope my friend doesn't mind!  I used Karen's SSSC252 and rotated the sketch once.

I stamped PI Baseball Boy onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured him with copics.  I used the team colours - Cincinnati Reds!  The background is done with the Diagonal Stripes Background stamp (MFT) and I fussy cut him out and popped him up with dimensionals.  The border is made with the Fishtail Flags die-namic (MFT).  The baseball is from Have an All Star die-namic (MFT) except it was as big as his head - LOL - so I used a small circle punch to make it more realistic.

I hope my friend's birthday was a "home-run"!

Bellariffic Friday - Sketch #1

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we had our first sketch of 2015.

Here's my card using Posh Has A Present.  I have a couple of birthdays this month and this Uptown Girl was perfect for one of them!

I stamped Posh Has A Present onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics.  (Her dress is a perfect match to the turquoise paper so I'm not sure why it looks a different colour in the photo!) The papers are from my scrap bin and one of my goals this year is to empty that bin!!  I added some tiny rhinestones around the scallop circle and of course my Wink of Stella pen for some glitter here and there.

On the inside I added a scallop border with some of the extra paper and the sentiment which comes with the image.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is a colour challenge - and what a gorgeous photo!

We hope you'll get stamping with us.  It's easy to play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks.

Gracie - Sale!

I still had all the papers and copics on my desk from two days ago, so decided to make another similar card using sweet Gracie who is on sale this month at 20% off!  Check out Stampingbella for more information.

Gracie was stamped onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured with copics.  Again the paper is MME Abbey Road and I used a Pretty Posies die-namic for the flower (MFT) with a large rhinestone in the middle.  I think Gracie is so sweet and can be used for so many different occasions.

More birthday wishes - SSSC251

I had time to play along with the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge (SSSC251) yesterday and added another birthday card to my stash.

I stamped the PI Cause for Celebration (MFT) onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics.  The paper is MME Abbey Road and I added a bit of ribbon and a flower made with the Hybrid Camelia flower die-namic (MFT).  I added some glitter to her bow from my Wink of Stella pen and I applied a few coats of clear glaze pen to her shoes for some shine.  I really wanted to straighten those tilted panels in the sketch :) but I stopped myself and stayed true to the sketch - LOL.

On the inside I stamped the same image again and then paired up two sentiments from two different stamp sets - love when you can mix and match!

Have a good week.

Bellariffic Friday - Big news for the new year!

It's our first Bellariffic Friday for 2015 and with the new year comes new things....like a new Bellababe!  A big 'Bella-welcome' to Kerri!  Check out her gorgeous creations on her blog here.  We also will be starting a new thing - the first Bellariffic Friday of each month will showcase a '"featured" stamp and all the Bellababes will be using this specific image for their cards, so you'll have lots of inspiration.  The good news is that this "featured" stamp will be 20% off at Stampingbella for the month - so it's a perfect time to add it to your collection!  So, lets get on to our first challenge of 2015.  This week the challenge was "anything goes", so that was an easy one to start off another wonderful year of stamping!

"Gracie" is our featured stamp this month.  I stamped her onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics.  The Fishtail Flags die-namics (MFT) were a perfect fit for her.  The paper is Cutie Pie DSP (retired SU) and I added a bit of ribbon and of course used my Wink of Stella for some glitter on her shoes.

On the inside I used the sentiment that comes with Gracie

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is a sketch.

We hope you'll get stamping with us.  It's easy to play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks.  And again a warm welcome to our new babe, Kerribella!

Birthday Wishes - SSSC250

With a new year comes new goals and one of my stamping goals is to play along more with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenges.  She puts so much time and effort in to these sketches and they are great for me - I almost can't make a card now without using a sketch!  Another stamping goal is to use up what's in my "NEW stamps/dies/stencils" bin.  I'm sure I'm not alone with all the stuff I buy but haven't used yet :)

I stamped DG Party Time (MFT) onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics.  I  used some of the fun papers from Bo Bunny "Surprise" pack and added just a bit of Wink of Stella to her hair clip.  So, that's my card for the SSSC250.  Have a good week.

2014 Year in Review cards

Happy New Year and welcome to 2015!  I've seen several stamping blogs that do a "year in review" sort of thing and thought I'd give it a try.  It's hard to pick my own favourites, so I had some help from Danabella!  It was fun to go back and review what I made throughout the year.

JANUARY brings us Mimi - love her fun glasses!

FEBRUARY brings us one of those crazy Senioritas!  I adore how this one turned out!

MARCH I started to play around with stencils and fell in love!  This card using a Gorjuss girl was also perfect to practice my hair colouring.

APRIL brought lots of birthdays and these Uptown Girls know how to celebrate!

MAY brings us sunshine and spring flowers and I loved this butterfly card - virtually no stamping but I loved the finished result!

JUNE brought me right out of my comfort zone with this card challenge which was "one layer wonder" but it turned out to be one of my top 5 favs this year...in fact I will say it IS my fav for 2014!

JULY brought us to Christal's birthday card - she loves those Uptown Girls too!

AUGUST brought a 50th Wedding Anniversary party and this card made my top 5 favs too!

SEPTEMBER brought the new release from Stampingbella and with it my new loves...Buddy and Jolly.  Seriously I could not get enough of these little guys and they easily made one of my top 5 fav!

OCTOBER brings Halloween and this Too Cute To Spook PI girl!

NOVEMBER was full on for Christmas card making and Rudolph just makes me smile with his wonky eyes!

DECEMBER brought this little cutie and she made my top 5 favs too!

Well, I hope you enjoyed this look back at 2014.  Wishing you and yours all the best in 2015.....let the stamping begin!
