Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte

Well, summer is over and we're easing into the fall season which brings to mind one of the most anticipated drinks at Starbucks.....the Pumpkin Spice Latte!  Just last week my favourite barista was asking, "when are we getting our fall card Leslie"?  Sheesh, they're so spoiled - LOL, so I decided to make them one with the pumpkin spice in mind.  My layout is the SSSC238.

I stamped two of the sweet images from "Pumpkins on the vine" set onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured them with copics.  Don't you love her sweet little pumpkin hat?  I haven't decided if she's sharing her pumpkin spice latte with the squirrel or he's sharing it with her.  Either way - yum!  I drew the Starbucks cup freehand but couldn't quite match it perfectly as their green logo in the circle was too much for me :)

On the inside I used one of the sentiments that came with the stamp set and also the row of pumpkins along the bottom.

Here are the copics I used.

I can't wait to give this to them tomorrow!

Cheerio.....Leslie

Bellariffic Friday - Sketch 19 and a NEW RELEASE image!

Oh my goodness, are you following Emily's teasers of the new release?  Click here if you haven't.  So far, I'm loving everything I've seen!

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we had another sketch and I used it with one of the new release images "Christmas Soldiers".

This image comes with a row of five, not three :), of the cutest little solders dancing up a storm.  These little soldiers have the best expressions, dancing and having fun with no inhibitions whatsoever!  For my card I just used three of the soldiers and made my card look like a Christmas ornament by adding a seam binding bow at the top to mimic the sketch.

I stamped three of the soldiers from the image onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured them with copics.  I popped up the circle for some dimension and added lots of glitter from my Atyou Spica pens.

Emily has a cute sentiment that comes with the image and I love the font on this one!

Here are the copics I used.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is a fun one!  It's a 1-2-3 meaning 1 image, two embellishments and 3 papers!  I hope you'll play along with us - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks.

NEW RELEASE.....Buddy and Jolly!

It's time for another new release image and I.AM.IN.LOVE with these two - meet Buddy and Jolly!
Okay, seriously, are they not the cutest elves ever?!

I stamped Buddy and Jolly onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured them with copics.  I used some fun colours taken from the pattern paper to colour them up.  These little elves have so many fun little details - from Buddy's adorable reindeer slippers to their cute little ears to their funky hair - LOVE!  I fussy cut them out and popped them up on top of a circle that I embossed with the perfect polka dots - I think it sort of looks like snowflakes behind them.  I added a brad and a button so clearly this card will need to be hand delivered :)

On the inside I added a strip of matching paper and stamped the super cute sentiment that comes with Buddy and Jolly.

Here are the copics I used.

I hope you love Buddy and Jolly as much as I do!

NEW RELEASE....Tiffany loves to text!

It's time to show one of the new releases that Emily has been teasing us about!  Meet Tiffany loves to Text!  Isn't she cool with her IPhone and shopping bag - looks like she's just come from the market!

I stamped Tiffany onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics.  The stencil background is sponged with Antique Linen ink and I love her shopping bag - you could do so much with it - paper piece it, add a C and made it a Chanel bag or just add some white dots like I did here.  I added some crystal effects to her sunglasses too.

And of course Emily has the most perfect sentiment that comes with the image.  I used all three but you could just use one at a time.

.Here are the copics I used.

Be sure to come back here on Thursday for another new release image...and one that I absolutely LOVE!

Wedding bells again

This is the second wedding card I referred to in yesterday's post.  Two cards for two different couples to give to the newlyweds.  I wonder if the bride and groom will recognize the paper :)

I used the same paper as it matched their wedding colours/theme perfectly.  Instead of an image this time I made a trio of felt flowers and added some silver dots to the middle.  I added the sentiment on a Fishtail Flag banner with a trio of rhinestones.  As silver was one of the colours I  just love how everything pulls together and sparkles on this card.

Bellariffic Friday - Inspiration

OMGosh have you been checking out Emily's sneak peeks at some of the new releases?!  If not click HERE, leave a comment and you could win the new images!  It's so much fun and a surprise for all the Bellababes too, because we don't know which image she's releasing each day!!

Okay back to Bellariffic Friday and this week we had a lovely inspiration photo but I will admit it stumped me for a bit.

I decided to go with the "layout" of the inspiration photo which happened to work perfectly with the paper I wanted to use for another special order wedding card.  I was asked by two couples attending the wedding to make a card, so here's the first one and I'll show the other card tomorrow.  The wedding colours were silver, ivory and black.  I stamped Brett and Brenda  onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured them with copics.  Ignore the fact that I forgot to colour her other foot - rest assured I fixed that before the card was delivered :)

The sentiment is stamped onto a Fishtail Flag die and tucked under the image.  I added lots of glitter on her dress and my Wink of Stella pen on her shoes.  This card really sparkles with all the glitter and sparkly silver in the pattern paper!

Here are the copics I used.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is another sketch - we're up to #19.

It's easy to play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks.

Bellariffic Friday - Sketch 18

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we are up to Sketch #18.

I loved the banner across the top and when looking through my stamps to choose one, little Ramona looked perfect for the sketch.

I stamped Ramona and her Wagon onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics.  On the inside I used a strip of the pattern paper and added the sentiment that's included with Ramona onto a Fishtail Flag banner.

Here are the copics I used.

Shower of Happiness for Lindsay & Tyler

I couldn't show this baby card I made, along with last Friday's cards, as it was for my sweet friend, Lindsay Anne's surprise Baby Shower this past weekend.  Too risky that the Mum-to-be might see it on my blog :)

I stamped sweet little Snookums onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured the image with copics.  As the parent's don't want to know if it's a girl or boy until the delivery, I went with neutral baby colours.  I used the same layout as last Friday's cards.  The theme of the shower was "Cute as a Button" so I was sure to include a button on my card!

Here are the copics I used.

We all had a lovely time at the shower and now we just wait...for the arrival.  I've got my guess as to what I think Lindsay Anne will have - I've got a 50/50 chance don't I?  LOL!

Birthday Balloons

It's well known that I struggle with masculine cards (doesn't everyone LOL).  My cousin in England is a SU demonstrator and so there is added pressure when making a card for her or her family :)
This card is for her son, so as well as being masculine, it couldn't have any glitter and it had to be flat for mailing!  I'll admit, this card took me about 2 hours to make - goodness, I can make a coloured image faster :)

I tried something a little different for this card.  I used the Happy Birthday die-namic and cut it from white cardstock and added a piece of Tangerine Tango behind.  Then I carefully placed the centers of the letters back in place.  The balloons were stamped onto Bella's Bestest paper with Jellybean Green and Berrylicious ink and I added a few stars.  I fussy cut the balloons and added some black thread for the string (clearly I have too many stamping supplies as I found the die-namic for those balloons the day after making the card - sheesh!).  I glued down the thread in a couple of places with Ranger Multi Medium Matte.  That stuff is magic!  It glues anything really well and dries clear - love it!!

Although this card didn't turn out quite like I imagined it in my head, I'm sure my cousin will appreciate the hours it took me to make - LOL!

Bellariffic Friday - Paper Piecing

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week the challenge was paper piecing.  I love to paper piece - it reminds me of when I was a little girl and we had paper dolls to play with and dress  up!  This week I made two cards with the adorable Snookums - one for a girl and one for a boy.

I stamped Snookums onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured them with copics.  I paper pieced each of their little outfits although on the boy card it's very hard to tell but trust me, I did :)

These came together really quickly even with the paper piecing of their outfits.  There is something about Snookums that just makes me smile.  I have used this image before but always for a boy card so it was nice to make a girl one and she looks just as sweet.

I added a banner with a button tied into a loopy bow.  On the banner I stamped the word "Baby" in pink ink for the girl and gray ink for the boy.

Here are the copics I used.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is Sketch #18 and this looks like fun!

We hope you'll play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks.
