Sweet Sunday Sketch - Happy Birthday Tracey

For this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge SSSC128, I flipped the sketch!  I needed a birthday card for a special friend and Presentahbella was perfect for this sketch.

I stamped Presentahbella in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with copics.
The cardstock is SU Tempting Turquoise and Old Olive with some retired SU designer series paper.  I used a Stardust Gellyroll pen on her dress and several coats of Clear Glaze pen on the dots on the present.
The fun came with the MFT Mini Rolled Roses Die-namic!
I made three of them and put a String of Pearls bauble in the middle.  The leaves were cut free-hand and I ran them through my crimper for some texture.  I used my SU Scallop Trim punch to add a tiny border of Tempting Turquoise.
Happy Birthday Tracey!

Bellariffic Friday - Christmas in July

It's hard to imagine snow and freezing temperatures with the summer we're having but I loved this week's theme because I love Christmas and was able to add another Christmas card to my stash for December!

I stamped Snowbunnybella in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored her with copics. The paper is from an old Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients kit. I used half of a large scallop nestie to frame the red swirl pattern paper and "glitterfied" a chipboard snowflake - it's really sparkly! A Bella donut and dot on top of the snowflake finished it off. I added some texture to the navy cardstock by running it through the Plaid embossing folder. Christmas, snow....that means more glitter!  I added some along her boots, cuff and hood.  Oh to have a hood like that for our cold winters!

Feeling better

I'm sorry it's been a while since I posted.  I had some surgery earlier this month and am just now feeling better and able to get to my stamp room and stamp!  I needed a Get Well card for another friend who had surgery so thought this was the perfect card to get me back to my blogging!

I stamped Fluey Huggabugg (so cute!) in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with copics.  The solid paper is SU Peach Parfait and some old pattern paper.  I used the Dizzy Border Die-namic from MFT and a bit of SU Peach Parfait ribbon.  Two Light Amber Stamping Bella Bonbons in the top left corner and two little Taylored Expressions Tiny Twinkles on Fluey's antenna, a few coats of clear glaze pen on her hot water bottle and she was ready to go.

Thanks to Karen for the inspiration for this card!  Well, a little more than inspiration.....more like CASEing her card  layout totally :)

Sweet Sunday Tweet

I'm visiting my friend Karen this weekend and her stamp room is a stampers dream!  I haven't stamped in a few weeks so was happy to have carte blanche in her room!

For my card I used this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC124.  I just love the MFT Pure Innocence girls and Karen has some I don't have so I picked "You're So Tweet" 'cause she really is so sweet!  I inked her in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with copics.  Her dress was perfect for paper piecing and I used a pink Spica Glitter Pen on her little waistband and heart. I used an oval nestie with the matching scallop oval behind and two dies I don't have at home, the MFT First Place Award Ribbon Die-namic and Papertrey Ink Rick-rac.  I was watching Karen when she made her card for the SSSC124 and loved her trick of faux shine shoes, so I gave it a try.....I like it!   The paper is Echo Park Little Girl - so bright and fun!  It felt good to get back stamping and it's no wonder I'm creative when in Karen's room!
