Happy Retirement

I was asked to make a retirement card and I adore this little mouse as she is the perfect image for a retirement!

I stamped the image (MFT, Do not disturb this mouse) with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured it with copics.  I did a little paper piecing on the chair and footstool and then added some tiny twinkles to the footstool as well.

The sentiment comes with the image and I masked it so I could stamp the Happy on top of the Retirement :)

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Bellariffic Friday - Chocolate

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week the challenge was one of my favourite things....chocolate....either in the image, the paper, the colours, your choice.  I chose to make a chocolate cake and Tiny Townie Bree Loves Buttercream was the perfect image.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured it with copics.  I added sparkle to her dress with some Wink of Stella and also to her crown.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is Free Form - so anything goes.

We hope you'll get stamping with us. It's easy to play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday to be featured on Blogabella and for a chance to win $25 in Bella Bucks.  Click here for all the details!

Giftabella

I made another birthday card using Giftabella 2.0.  This is a very quick image to colour up and I always have fun with all the presents!  This time I stayed with the pink and turquoise colour theme.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured her with copics.  I used the coordinating die to cut her out.  Her "little black dress" has lots of sparkle along with all her gifts.  I used Nuvo Crystal drops for the three dots and added a little bow made with baker's twine.  Now to get this in the mail, so it arrives on time!

Another baby!

Another doctor at work had her baby....a little girl.  She didn't want to know what she was having so I couldn't make the card until little Ailysh arrived last week.

I cut out the little onesie using the Baby Onesie die from MFT and stamped the sentiment from the coordinating Baby Onesie stamp set.  I added a little heart in the middle and covered it with Wink of Stella.

I can't wait to meet Ailysh in person!

Pumpkin Spice time

It's that time of year....Pumpkin Spice time at Starbucks!  I made a Pumpkin Spice loaf to give to my fav Starbucks store and made this card to go along with it.  I was doing a massive clear out of all my "saved for later" posts in my Feedly and came across this technique from Jennifer McGuire which is where my card idea came from.

I stamped the cup (Paper Smooches) with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured it with copics.  I used a stencil and some texture paste that I coloured with some Antique Linen distress ink for the background.  I had some of the paste left and didn't want to waste it so made another card.

The little girl is from Pumpkins on the Vine (There She Goes) and I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured it with copics.

I'm excited to deliver my Starbucks treat to them tomorrow!

Bellariffic Friday - Create your own background

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week the challenge was to create your own background.  I'm still relatively new to the whole distress ink game, but gave it a try for my Christmas card.

I used Tumbled Glass distress ink and covered it with some snowflakes embossed with iridescent ice embossing powder.  Then I sprayed it with Frost Shimmer Mist.  I made the snowbanks from a die and added a generous swipe of glitter to them.  It's hard to capture the sparkle in this card but trust me, it's there.

I stamped the image, Snowman with a Chick on Top, with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured him with copics.  I used the coordinating die to cut him out and popped him up for some dimension.  Here's a close up of all the sparkle!

The sentiment comes with this cute image.  Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is Inspiration Challenge 9.

We hope you'll get stamping with us. It's easy to play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday to be featured on Blogabella and for a chance to win $25 in Bella Bucks.  Click here for all the details!

Pumpkin patch

I made a little "scene" card this weekend.

I have been having fun with my new Distress Oxide inks and wanted to create a background but didn't have the right colours in the oxide inks so got out my regular Distress Inks to create this.  I used Mustard Seed and Fired Brick and then along the edges added some Black Soot.  I flicked some black ink and then sprayed the whole thing with Frost Shimmer Spritz.

I stamped a few of the images that come with the set Pumpkins on the Vine from There She Goes with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured them with copics.  The fence and the grass die is from MFT.  I popped all the images up and them stamped the sentiment from MFT PI Pumpkin Patch Girl.

I still new at all this Distress Ink and smooshing, etc, but am pretty happy with how my little card came out.

More Wedding Wishes

Today's card is almost stamp-free LOL.  I based my card on one done by a SU demonstrator who I believe won an Artisan's Award with it and I'm sorry I can't find the link (if you know, please tell me and I'll link to her card).  I always like to give credit when it's not my creation :)

I embossed a piece of cream cardstock with the Lacy Brocade folder and then sprayed it with some Frost Shimmer Spritz.  I added flowers on top of a small heart doily and then stamped the sentiment from MFT CS About Anniversaries onto a strip of vellum and wrapped it around.  I think it's so pretty and the longest part of making this card was gluing all those flowers!

Wedding wishes

I was asked to make a couple of wedding cards and I'll show one here today and one tomorrow.  Today's card uses Closeups "I Do".

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured it with copics.  It's not a wedding dress without a lot of sparkle so I covered her bow and lace trim.  The word LOVE is a die and I cut it out 4 times, stacked on top of each other and then covered with lots of glitter and a final coat of glossy accents.

Pop back tomorrow for another wedding card.

Bellariffic Friday - Mojobella Sketch 33

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we had another Mojobella sketch to work with.

I rotated the sketch to work with my image, Marching Chick.  The image is available with a coordinating die so this card came together quite quickly.  So quickly, in fact, that I made two versions.  I plan on mailing them to England so had to keep the embellishments to a minimum to keep Canada Post happy!

I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured them with copics.  I used the coordinating die to cut them out and on the first one I added a trio of enamel dots and on the second one I added the sentiment that comes with the image.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is Create your own background.

We hope you'll get stamping with us. It's easy to play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday to be featured on Blogabella and for a chance to win $25 in Bella Bucks.  Click here for all the details!

Oh Baby!

One of the doctors at work is expecting and knows it's a boy so I was pretty sure I could make this card ahead of time!

The bear image is one of my very first stamps from when I started stamping.  I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured it with copics.  The background is made with a dotted stencil that I sponged with a soft blue ink.  I made a shaker box adding lots of tiny beads, diamond dust and silver stars.  These shaker cards are really hard to photograph (I'm no professional photographer - LOL) but it is really lovely with all those bits shaking about.

The sentiment "oh baby!" is from the sale bin at Micheals!

Brittany the Birthday Girl

I hope you're having a good week.  This was a special order birthday card for a young lady who loves the colours I've used on her card....fuchsia, black and Tiffany blue, and really, who doesn't love Tiffany :)

I stamped the image, Brittany the Birthday Girl, with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured it with copics.  I kept the layout simple, just adding a black bow with a rhinestone in the middle and of course, there is wink of stella on the dress, the fuchsia bow and the lace trim.

Bellariffic Friday (on a Saturday) - Free Form

I hope you've been enjoying the teasers this week and there's more for the rest of the weekend!  All the new images will be available (with matching dies) on September 4th.

Yesterday I showed two more of my teaser cards so today it's my Bellariffic Friday on a Saturday :).  This week the challenge was Free Form so anything goes.  It's also the first Friday of the month so that means another image at 20% off for the entire month.  This month's image is perfect for the fall season we're heading for.....TinyTownie Autumn Loves Autumn.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured her with copics.  I added the sentiment that comes with the image beside her and added some small white dots to the mushroom with some Nuvo Crystal drops.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is Mojobella Sketch 33.

Fall Release Teaser - Day 5

It's DAY 5 of the Fall release and I have two more new images to share with you.  Today we are showing one of my fav new lines, the Squidgies.  Let me introduce Squidgy Witchy Trick or Treater!  I stamped both card images with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured them with copics.

For the Witchy card, I made the background with some reinkers and then splattered some black ink over top.  I added the little witch on top of a fishtail flag that I stamped with one of the new sentiments from the Fall Sentiments set.  It's a great set with lots of Fall and Halloween sentiments.  I added a few clear enamel dots and a spritz of shimmer to the background too.

My second card features Squidgy Dino Trick or Treater.  So adorable!  The "BOO" that is stamped on the middle panel is from Tiny Townie Willow the Witch.

You can check out the rest of the teasers for today on Blogabella and leave a comment there for a chance to win!  Remember all the images come with coordinating dies and the release day is Monday September 4th.  There are still teasers for Saturday and Sunday!
