Bellariffic Friday on a Sunday

Emily gave us an extra few days for our Bellariffic Friday card this week, so I took advantage of the extra time and inked up one of my new Duda images.  This week the challenge was a sketch and I rotated it once to suit my image.

These are even sweeter in person and I'm so glad I ordered some - even if I am a bit late using them :)

Here are the copics I used.

I hope everyone is having a lovely long Canada Day weekend!

Green jacket - MFTWSC130

When I was making my SSSC187 card, I stamped two images but didn't like the original jacket so set her aside.  Then I saw this week's MFTWSC130, and I knew if I rotated the sketch once, the green jacket girl would fit perfectly :)

I used the same pattern papers from my other card - truth is they were still out on my desk!  I love the sentiment on the inside and I used MFT Black Licorice ink - it stamps so crisp and clean...LOVE it!!

Here are the copics I used.

End of school thanks - SSSC187

I was asked to make a thank you card for a teacher.  I forgot to ask if it was a male or female teacher - fingers crossed it's female!  I played along with Karen's SSSC187.

My Mum has been visiting for a few days and I thought she might like seeing how a card comes together.  Turns out she doesn't read my blog very often....what?!  Let's see how long it takes her to phone me after seeing this card all finished - LOL.

She kept pointing to the Big Shot and all my dies and nesties wondering how they worked so I used my fav Fishtail Flags Stax die-namics on the inside and might have impressed her even more had my zig zag sewing not gone a bit crooked.  Here are the copics I used.

My Mum did say "oh I see now" when I showed her the sketch.  I think I enjoyed the card making more than she did, but it was fun to show her the process :)

Birthday Girl - MFTWSC129

This week's MFTWSC129 was a great sketch and I knew exactly what I was going to use for the circle!  I have some of the new SU Tea Lace Paper Doilies and I was itching to use them.

I just had to paper piece her little dress and I shined up her shoes with several coats of clear glaze pen.  Her balloon is super sparky thanks to a generous blob of Star Dust Stickles.

I kept the inside pretty simple, just using the scallop border again.

Here are the copics I used.

Technical Thanks

One of the "challenges" with my work move was the technical aspect of things - Christal and I made a ton of calls to IT for help - after the first day we had the number memorized!  We had a super IT man who helped us over and over again and continues to pop by almost daily to see if we have any problems....now that's service!  I knew I had to make him a special thank you card and Noah the Computer Guy was the perfect image.

Seems like a lot of copics but I was trying to get his skin tone and hair just like his :)

I've seen him at Starbucks some mornings, so I'm going to tuck in a Starbucks gift card too.

Happy Father's Day

Oop, I'm a bit late posting this card.  It's the card I made for my Father-in-law this year - he likes my hand made cards as much as my Mother-in-law does!  It's hard to believe it's been 9 years since my Dad passed away - I miss him, I was his baby :)
This came together super fast as there was virutally no stamping AND I totally case'd it from Karen's card here.  Thanks Karen!

UR Fabulous - MFTWSC128

Here's another card from my Saturday Stamp-a-thon and I love how this turned out!

I used MFTWSC128 but made my image panel a bit longer than the sketch.  She was too fabulous to cut any shorter :)  The letters are SO sparkly - I used lots of Star Dust Stickles and let it dry overnight.  I made the little sentiment tab using an old SU punch. (Sorry, not sure why this photo is so washed out).

I was trying to get only one strip of the Double Dot border die on the inside and accidentally got a tiny bit of the edge but I like the look.

Here are the copics I used:

Sweet Sunday Stamp-a-thon

It's hard to believe that I haven't stamped in almost a month.  Turns out, moving to a new building at work, isn't so easy!!  But yesterday I spent the majority of my day in my stamp room and had a wonderful time creating some cards and getting my stamping mojo back :)

There's nothing better than a sketch and new rubber to get me back in the groove.  I have a ridiculous number of stamps that haven't seen ink yet - you too? - so am committed to getting them inky!  I used Karen's SSSC186 and made it a Christmas card as I am a wee bit behind on those.  I debated making Rudolph's nose shiny but opted for sparkly instead.  I added googly eyes for a bit of fun.

Just 6 copics - can you believe that?  I loved how this card turned out and so I made another exactly the same, so two more to add to my Christmas card pile.
