You are great!

Sometimes we all need to be reminded how great we are.  I made this for someone who needs to be reminded that she IS great!

I stamped Big Words Sometimes People Forget with Chocolate Chip ink onto Bella’sBestest paper.  I matted it with some Chocolate Chip card stock and placed it over a circle with a trio of dots.  I added a Fishtail Flag with a brown button tied with a twine bow at the top.  The paper is Chocolate Chip, Pear Pizzazz and Authentique "Lively".

On the inside I used the rest of the sentiment.

Bellariffic Friday - Mojobella Sketch 3

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we have Mojobella Sketch 3 as our challenge.

I stamped the Uptown Girl Fiona Loves Flowers with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured her with copics.

The paper is quite old, it's from my scrap pile, so I'm sorry I don't know where it's from.  I paired it with Daffodil Delight and used some vellum card stock for the Fishtail Flag banner sentiment.  The sentiment is from Brittany the Birthday Girl which is our stamp of the month, and on sale until Jan 31.  I love that you can mix and match the sentiments!  I added two dots and a scattering of glitter around her and on her headband.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is  Love is in the Air.  It's also the first Friday in February so that means all the Bellababes will be using the same image that Emily will put on sale, February 1st, at 20% off.  You're going to "love" it - LOL.

We hope you'll get stamping with us. It's easy to play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks.

An extra Stuffy

My card for yesterday's Bellariffic Friday featured Stuffy Stuffie and I made a second card slightly different as I had all the 'ingredients' still out on my desk.  This is one of my stamping goals for this year - to try and make two of each card.  It shouldn't take too much extra time and I'll have double the cards!

I stamped the image (Stuffy Stuffie) with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured him with copics adding some final shading with gamsol and pencil crayons.  He is cut out using the Stitched Rectangle die.  The paper is Lilybeedesign "Head Over Heels" with some Cherry Cobbler and a Basic Gray card base.  I added some glossy accents to the thermometer.

This is where the "stamp surgery" made it so easy to stamp part of the sentiment on the front and the rest inside without the fuss of masking.  As I mentioned in yesterday's post, it doesn't hurt the stamp at all and I can still stamp the entire sentiment if I want to.

On the inside I could stamp the rest of the sentiment and then stamp the image again with a lighter gray ink on top.

Hope you enjoyed two days of Stuffies!

Bellariffic Friday - Inspiration Challenge 1

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we had our first Inspiration Challenge photo.

I decided to use a few things from the photo - the colours, the circles and the sewing.

I stamped the adorable Stuffy Stuffie with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured him with copics adding some final shading with Gamsol and pencil crayons.  The paper is Lilybeedesign "Head Over Heels" with some Cherry Cobbler and a Basic Gray card base.  I used the Pierced Circle dies, some ribbon, sewing around the edge and enamel dots to finish it off.

Now you may notice that I only used part of the sentiment that's included with Stuffy Stuffie. I performed some 'stamp surgery' and cut the first bit off.  I promise, it doesn't hurt the stamp at all :) and I can still stamp the entire sentiment if I want to.

I made a second card showing this in more detail and I'll post that tomorrow.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is Mojobella Sketch 3.

We hope you'll get stamping with us. It's easy to play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks.

Sweet Treats

This is a card I made for a sweet lady who sent in the most amazing spread of breakfast treats for us at work a few weeks ago.  The most beautiful box arrived filled with homemade scones, little pots of jam, butter, lemon curd and she even put in napkins and knives for us.  It was a gorgeous presentation and delicious treat!

I only stamped the sentiment, which I thought was perfect, from Teeny Tiny Wishes (SU).  The rest of the card is embellishments, card stock and die-namics - the Fancy Butterfly (MFT), the banner and scallop circle from First Place Award Ribbon (MFT) and the lace doily, ribbon and Flower trim is from SU.  I used a kraft note card with Marina Mist card stock.

A sweet thank you for some sweet treats!

Bellariffic Friday - Mojobella Sketch 2

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we are at Mojobella Sketch 2.

Harry the Stuffie Gets Happy Mail was my choice for this sketch.  I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured it with copics.

The paper is Lilybeedesign "Head Over Heels" with a Wild Cherry card base.  I added a lace doily and some ribbon as per the sketch but left off the V shape in the upper left corner...or did  I?  I just noticed that the background paper has the V pattern :)

The heart on the envelope has some red stickles on it for shine and sparkle and I added the sentiment that comes with the image (love that!).

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is Inspiration Challenge #1.  Take anything from this photo as your inspiration...the colours, the picture, the theme, something from the fabrics, anything.

We hope you'll get stamping with us. It's easy to play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks.

Christal's Christmas Card

I realize I had never shown the Christmas card I made for my co-worker Christal.  She is so sweet and looks forward to my card each year.

This year I used the PI Elf Girl and this looks exactly like Christal a few years ago when she dressed up like an elf at the Christmas party!

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured it with copics.  The paper is BoBunny "Mistletoe" with a Garden Green card base.  I added a scallop edge border with rhinestone in each scallop for some bling.  I adore my Ghost Snowflakes and use them on very special cards only so Christal got one and I added a button with a bow tied with baker's twine.

Her little booties have a red pearl on each and I added lots of glitter around her - to match her sparkling personality :)

Bellariffic Friday is back!

It's a new year and a brand new Bellariffic Friday challenge.  All the Bellababes will be using the same image today.  Brittany the Birthday Girl is the stamp of the month and on sale at 20% off!

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured it with copics.  The paper is Fancy Pant Designs "Park Bench" with a Tempting Turquoise card base.  I used a very old Freshly Made sketch (FMS2) for the layout.  The sentiment comes with the image and I stamped it along the bottom.  I added a small sparkly doily thanks to my Wink of Stella pen and then a black button tied with silver cord on top.  It's hard to see in the picture but it's really sparkly!

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is MojoBella Sketch 2.

We hope you'll get stamping with us. It's easy to play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks.

Christmas Thank You cards

These are the little thank you cards I made for gifts I received this Christmas.  I just love this little snowman.  His name is "Snow" and he's from Purple Onion Designs.  I made several and just swapped the colours around on each.

And here's the second set.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured it with copics.  It took no time at all to colour them in.  The note cards are from a trip to England a few years ago and they were the perfect size.  I just added a base of either Real Red or Bermuda Bay.

2015 Year in Review Cards

Happy 2016!  I was happy to see the end of 2015 as I caught a 'bug' on Tuesday and am still not feeling 100%, but I had to get my year in review done before today was over!  I had my dear, sweet friend and fellow BellaBabe, Dana, pick for me and I picked for her.  It was fun to look back - here's what she picked for me.  (Apologies:  I have tried and tried to get them all aligned to the left but some months just won't co-operate!)

September: Fay Loves Fall

October: Scout's Honour

Thanks for stopping by my little blog in 2015 and I wish you a wonderful, healthy, stamp-happy 2016!
