Today is a very special day for a special friend.....it's Karen's Birthday! Happy Birthday, my friend!!
I used this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge SSSC121. Flower Girl is inked up in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then I colored her with copics. Of course I HAD to paper piece her cute little outfit and I used my GellyRoll Stardust pen for a bit of sparkle on her trim. I used TE Spa Key Ingredients kit - so pretty and I love that everything matches, from the paper to the ribbon to the embellishments. I used, what I think is :) , Karen's favourite embossing folder - swiss dots - on the circle and my new Lacy Squares nestie which I am still in love with! I did a little sewing around the edge and was going to try sewing the circle but chickened out at the last minute :) ! A trio of Bella dots and some sponging around the edges to soften it and it's done.
Confession time: Karen and Dana always help me with my editing/watermark BUT I clearly couldn't ask Karen :) and Dana was away so I had to give it a go on my own - scary!
Wishing you a wonderful birthday Karen! Please hop on over to Karen's blog and wish her a Happy Birthday too!

Happy Trails Janet!
I wanted to make a special card for a friend who is participating in the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer this weekend. She is biking from Toronto to Niagara!!!
I used "I-wish-I-looked-so-good-on-a-bike-abella" from Stamping Bella and although she won't be riding a bike like this with one of her dogs in the back basket she WILL be working VERY hard for a great cause!
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured it with copics. I kept this card simple using some retired SU paper and a couple of prima flowers. I added a few layers of clear glaze pen on the bike - 'cause you know a shiny bike goes much faster! I wish them great weather and a great ride! Good luck Janet!

Sweet Sunday Bride
Sweet Sunday on a Monday?! Today's card uses Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge SSSC120 and I stuck with just pink and white - perfect wedding colours!
I inked up Sposabella in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored her with copics.
The paper is retired SU patterned paper matched with SU Pretty in Pink cardstock. I used the SU scallop border punch with a bit of Pretty in Pink grosgrain ribbon around it and ran the pink circles through the swiss dots embossing folder. A touch of glitter to the wedding gown and then I spritzed the whole card with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in "Marshmallow". I LOVE this mist! It adds a soft, subtle sparkle all over, although I don't think you can see it very well in the photo. Now....let's talk about my sewing :) I'm sure my "Anonymous Sis" will be very impressed with my attempt today - I believe those are my straightest lines yet!!

Bellariffic Friday - Masculine
Happy Friday! This week's theme was masculine and I have to admit I almost passed on this one because I don't have many masculine stamps but then remembered my little pirate from Stamping Bella with the most perfect name....Little Johnny Depster....how cute is he?!
I inked him up with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored him with copics. I don't think I've ever used this many copics. I had to line them up three times, they kept falling over!
The sketch is Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge SSSC119 and I know I've said it before but I'll say it again, I almost can't make a card now without a sketch! I pulled a "Dana" though and flipped the sketch :) The paper is from my big assorted box from Costco and I ran the SU Baja Breeze through my Swiss Dots embossing folder. I made two little ribbon tabs with SU Early Espresso and then finished it off with the matching YAAARGH sentiment from Stamping Bella. It was pretty quick to put together but I now wish I'd added some black glaze pen to his boots to make them shine.....hmm, might do that now. Have a great weekend.
