Bellariffic Friday - Sketch 16

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we had another sketch to work with.

I went TOTALLY out of my comfort zone on this one!
I have recently returned from a wonderful visit with my friends Danabella and Karen Motzabella!  Dana pulled out all her fun stamping stuff including new sprays and textured pastes which I have been intrigued with.  We spent most of one day getting messy and dirty - just look at Dana's thumbs...

...and if her hands weren't bad enough just look at the table!
I had so much fun just playing and getting messy that I didn't keep a list of exactly what I used to make my card.  I can't remember the exact colours, companies, etc., but it included a stencil, textured paste, distress inks and Lindy's Stampgang sprays.  I stamped the sentiment  from Uptown Girl Maybelline Loves Mail onto Bella's Bestest paper  and embossed it with black embossing powder.  I then sponged some distress ink around the oval and added a rhinestone to each side.
The background was made with the stencil and some textured paste.  After it was dry I sponged it with some distress inks and then put the stencil back on and gave it a final spray with Crème Brulee Cream spray which gives it a pretty sparkle (hard to see in the photo).  I love the softness of the sponged distress inks and how they just seem to melt into each other.  After trying these textured pastes and spray, I will admit, I'm liking them more than I I just have to get over the "mess" I will make with them :)

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is a gorgeous inspiration photo!

It's easy to play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks.
